Alonso went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored Saturday in a 5-3 victory versus the White Sox. Alonso gave New York an early lead with his first-inning, two-run shot to left-center field. It was his 30th homer of the campaign, marking the fifth time in six career seasons he's reached that total (the only exception was the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign). In August, Alonso posted a .250 batting average with eight homers, 19 RBI and 16 runs over 104 at-bats.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks. The 29-year-old slugger took Ryne Nelson deep in the second inning to get the Mets on the board. Alonso has picked up the pace in August, slashing .253/.345/.505 with seven homers and 17 RBI in 26 games, and he sits one long ball short of his fourth straight 30-homer campaign and the fifth of his career.

His home run put him at 220 for his career and tied him with Mike Piazza for third most in Mets history. Alonso has struck out eight times over his last four games but, he is also managing to get on base, reaching safely in nine of his last 10 games. For the year, he's slashing .245/.330/.470 with 28 homers, 72 RBI, 74 runs, three steals and a 57:134 BB:K in 569 plate appearances.

Alonso went 4-for-4 with a solo home run and a two-run double in Wednesday's 9-1 win over the Athletics. This was Alonso's first four-hit game this season. The first baseman has gone 17-for-61 (.279) with six homers and 15 RBI over his last 16 contests, though he also has an unsettling 27 strikeouts in that span. For the season, he's up to a .246/.329/.475 slash line, 26 homers, 68 RBI, 68 runs scored, 27 doubles and three stolen bases over 120 games.

Alonso went 3-for-5 with two home runs, three RBI and three runs scored Thursday against the Rockies. Alonso touched up Colorado starter Austin Gomber for both homers, capping a four-run first inning with a two-run blast, then launching a second dinger off the lefty in the third. It was Alonso's second multi-homer game of the season and his fourth game with at least three RBI. The slugging first baseman is now slashing .246/.331/.476 with 51 extra-base hits including 25 homers, 63 RBI, 67 runs and 49 walks across 493 plate appearances.
