• Orioles' Colton Cowser: Wrapping up fantastic spring

  Cowser has impressed this spring with the Orioles, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports. Cowser has compiled a .364 average with two home runs, three doubles, six RBI, six runs scored and two stolen bases while also posting a 1.030 OPS over 44 at-bats in 16 games this spring. The outfielder is coming off of a 2024 campaign in which he produced a .242/.321/.447 slash line with 51 extra-base hits, including 24 homers, and he appears to be poised to take another step in 2025 while operating as an everyday starter in left field for Baltimore.

• Orioles' Colton Cowser: Undergoes hand surgery

  Cowser had successful surgery on his fractured hand Tuesday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. Cowser fractured his left hand in Game 2 of the American League Wild Card Series versus the Royals on Oct. 2, the game in which the Orioles were eliminated. Given the timing of the injury, Cowser is expected to have enough recovery time to be ready for the start of spring training.

  Cowser went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-2 win over the Twins. Cowser has tapped into his power late in the season, swatting four homers over his last seven games. He's also logged seven RBI and 12 strikeouts in that span. The rookie outfielder is up to 24 homers, 69 RBI, 77 runs scored, nine stolen bases and a .244/.323/.451 slash line over 152 contests. He's been able to maintain respectable numbers despite striking out at a 30.9 percent rate this season.

  Cowser went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Yankees. Cowser has hit safely in seven of his last eight games, going 9-for-28 (.321) with three homers in that span. Those long balls account for his only RBI since Sept. 3, but he's at least done his part by getting on base regularly. The outfielder has maintained a .244/.324/.447 slash line with 23 homers, 65 RBI, 75 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 149 contests as a regular in the lineup for much of the campaign.

  Cowser went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Friday's win over Detroit. Cowser went deep in the second and sixth innings against the Tigers for his second career multi-homer game. He also snapped an 18-game homerless drought dating back to August. During that span, he hit .224 with just two RBI. Cowser is now slashing .246/.326/.448 with 22 home runs, 48 extra-base hits and 64 RBI through 146 games.
