  • Gasser earned the win in Game 3 of the World Series at Tampa Bay on Monday, giving up just one hit with three strikeouts and one walk across six scoreless innings. Yandy Diaz crushed a 115.5-mph single to open the bottom of the first inning for the Rays, but Gasser didn't allow another hit and faced the minimum 18 batters through six frames thanks to a caught stealing and a groundball double play. The rookie left-hander has been Milwaukee's best starting pitcher during the playoffs, as he's surrendered just one run with a 9:3 K:BB over 15 innings.

  • Gasser didn't factor into the decision in Game 3 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing just three hits and one walk with three strikeouts over five scoreless innings. The rookie left-hander certainly wasn't dominant, but he kept Los Angeles off the board by scattering three singles, a walk and a hit-by-pitch. Gasser didn't have a long leash and was pulled at 72 pitches (47 strikes), but that's not a major surprise in just his second postseason start. He's now surrendered only one run with a 6:2 K:BB across nine frames in those two outings, cementing his spot as the Brewers' No. 3 starter as they sit one win away from the World Series.

  • Gasser will start Game 3 of the NLCS versus the Dodgers on Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Gasser will move in front of Dustin May in the Brewers' rotation order after logging four frames of one-run ball in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Padres. The left-hander posted a 2.86 ERA and 60:21 K:BB over 63 innings covering 11 starts and one relief appearance in the second half of the regular season. Gasser is likely to be opposed by Blake Snell, though the Dodgers have yet to officially name a starting pitcher for Game 3.

  • Gasser didn't factor into the decision in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Padres on Wednesday, giving up a run on three hits with three strikeouts and a walk over four innings. The left-hander threw 40 of 56 pitches for strikes as he held San Diego in check, with the only damage against him being a solo homer from Fernando Tatis. It was Gasser's first playoff start after making two relief appearances during the postseason last year. This performance should be more than enough to solidify his place in Milwaukee's rotation for the NLCS, with him likely lining up to start Game 4 in Los Angeles.

  • Gasser will start for the Brewers on Wednesday in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Padres, Sophia Minnaert of Brewers.tv reports. Gasser hasn't pitched in a game in nearly two weeks, but he was terrific down the stretch of the regular season for Milwaukee, posting a 1.67 ERA and 31:12 K:BB over 32.1 innings covering his final six appearances. The left-hander is stretched out to handle a normal starter's workload, but it wouldn't be a surprise if the Brewers' bullpen is heavily involved in the gameplan for Game 4.
