Miller picked up the save Monday against Colorado. He allowed a hit and no walks while striking out two over a scoreless inning. Entering with a one-run cushion, Miller shook off a one-out single to secure his 37th save of the season. The hard-throwing right-hander has been lights out in September, posting a 15:3 K:BB and five saves without an earned run allowed across seven innings (six appearances) this month. It's been a dominant first full campaign in San Diego for Miller, who owns a 1.12 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 119:23 K:BB in 64.1 frames.

Miller struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his 36th save of the season in a 7-6 win over the Giants. The right-hander had a little difficulty controlling his triple-digit heat, going to full counts against two batters and throwing 17 pitches (nine strikes) in total, but Miller prevented things from getting out of hand. Since the beginning of August, Miller has delivered a 2.04 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 32:8 K:BB over 17.2 innings while converting eight of 10 save chances, bringing him up to 26 saves on the year.

Miller loaded the bases but escaped the jam unscathed to earn the save. He's been dominant for much of the year, but he's allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and four walks over his last eight innings. Miller is at a 1.16 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 115:23 K:BB with 35 saves in 37 chances over 62.1 innings this year.

Miller entered with a one-run lead in the ninth inning and put the tying run on base when Dylan Crews tagged him for a one-out single. However, the All-Star closer followed the hit by striking out CJ Abrams before getting Brady House to ground out. Miller finished August in uncharacteristic fashion by allowing three runs while serving up two homers across two innings over his final two appearances, but he's rebounded by beginning September with three scoreless appearances during which he's posted a 9:1 K:BB across four frames. Miller is up to 34 saves on the season, fourth most in the majors.

Miller picked up the save Sunday against the Yankees, striking out three and walking one in a scoreless ninth inning. Miller struck out Ben Rice looking with a runner on first to notch his 33rd save on the season. The All-Star reliever had his first two blown saves of the year in August but now has a win and a save during his two appearances in September. This adds on to Miller's stellar year, as he's 33-for-35 in save opportunities with a 1.19 ERA and extraordinary 16.56 K/9 through 60.1 innings.
