The Diamondbacks outrighted Castellanos to Triple-A Reno on Friday. As expected, Castellanos cleared waivers after Arizona designated him for assignment Aug. 11. Since he had been previously outrighted, Castellanos could have elected free agency, but he'll instead stick around in the organization with the hope of earning a call-up to Arizona later on this season. Castellanos worked out of the bullpen for his seven appearances with the big club earlier in 2024 but has been a regular member of the rotation at Reno, with whom he's compiled a 4.39 ERA and 1.24 WHIP across 67.2 innings over 15 outings (14 starts).

The Diamondbacks optioned Castellanos to Triple-A Reno on Thursday. Castellanos served as Arizona's 27th man during Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Guardians, although he didn't make an appearance. The righty could be put back into the rotation at Reno.

The Diamondbacks recalled Castellanos from Triple-A Reno on Wednesday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports. Castellanos was just optioned to Reno on Tuesday but is back to serve as the 27th man during Wednesday's doubleheader in Cleveland. He will likely be sent back down again following Wednesday's twin bill.

The Diamondbacks recalled Castellanos from Triple-A Reno on Friday. The right-hander was sent to Reno on July 23 but will return to the majors as Bryce Jarvis (elbow) heads to the injured list. Castellanos has appeared in seven big-league games this season and has a 5.23 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 7:4 K:BB over 10.1 innings.

The Diamondbacks optioned Castellanos to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports. Castellanos threw 40 pitches over three innings in a relief appearance in Monday's loss to the Royals, so he wasn't going to be available to pitch for at least a day or two. He's clearing out to make room on the roster for Jordan Montgomery, who returns from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday in Kansas City.
