Contreras went 1-for-2 with a three-run walk-off home run in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Marlins Contreras entered the game as a pinch hitter for Jake Bauers in the seventh inning and struck out in his first trip to the plate. He got another chance in the ninth with two runners aboard and one out, trailing by a run, and made the most of it by launching a three-run walk-off homer off Pete Fairbanks. The blast was his 10th of the season. Contreras closed the first half in a 2-for-22 slump, so Sunday's heroics could provide some momentum as he looks to regain his rhythm at the plate.

Contreras is absent from Milwaukee's lineup for their series finale against Miami on Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Contreras went 1-for-5 with an RBI double Saturday, but he will now take a seat for Sunday's game. Gary Sanchez will handle the catching duties and bat seventh for Milwaukee.

Even though he was rested for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, Contreras will get another breather Sunday in the Brewers' final game before the All-Star break. Gary Sanchez will step in behind the dish as a replacement for Contreras, who will make his third appearance in the Midsummer Classic on Tuesday in Philadelphia after slashing .282/.344/.398 with nine home runs, one stolen base, 53 RBI and 48 runs in 89 first-half games.
