  • Duplantier and the Dodgers agreed on a minor-league contract Thursday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports. Duplantier will report to Double-A Tulsa upon joining the organization after being released by the Mets in June. The right-hander produced a 5.31 ERA and 2.19 WHIP with 22 strikeouts over 20.1 innings in 16 appearances out of the bullpen with Triple-A Syracuse prior to being let go. Duplantier will likely remain in the minors for the rest of the 2024 campaign, and he'll fill a low-leverage role for the Dodgers even if promoted.

Duplantier signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Duplantier hasn't pitched in the majors since 2021, and he owns a 5.05 ERA across 103.1 innings in the minors over the past two seasons. He'll likely report to Triple-A Syracuse to begin 2024 and give the Mets organizational rotation depth.

  • Phillies' Jon Duplantier: Sent to minors
    By RotoWire

The Phillies reassigned Duplantier to minor-league camp Sunday. A former top pitching prospect in the Arizona system, Duplantier was forced to settle for a minor-league deal with the Phillies this winter after logging a 4.71 ERA and 1.51 WHIP while striking out 109 batters over 93.2 innings for the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate at Oklahoma City in 2022. He'll likely open the 2023 campaign as a swingman for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

  • Duplantier signed a minor-league deal with Philadelphia on Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports. Duplantier was also invited to spring training with the Phillies, where he will look to carve a role for himself -- most likely in the bullpen. The 28-year-old righty recorded a 4.71 ERA and 1.51 WHIP through 93.2 innings in Triple-A Oklahoma City last season -- by far the best Triple-A campaign of his career.

  • Duplantier (lat) has made two relief appearances this season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, striking out four and allowing no hits and one walk over two scoreless frames. Duplantier, a former Diamondbacks top prospect whom the Dodgers poached from the Giants in the minor-league Rule 5 draft in December, is healthy to start the 2022 campaign. He didn't make any appearances over the final two months of the 2021 minor-league campaign while he recovered from a right lat strain. The Dodgers appear content to develop him as a reliever, hoping that his size (6-foot-4, 229 pounds) and raw skills will allow the 27-year-old to emerge as a potential bullpen option for the big club down the road. Duplantier will first likely have to stay healthy for an extended period before getting a look from the Dodgers.
