  • Hall did not factor into the decision during Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four in three innings. Four singles in the first inning led to two runs for the Diamondbacks. They would score three more in the third with just one hit after Hall loaded the bases and Pavin Smith cleared them with a double. It was a step backwards for Hall, who was working on 12.2 scoreless innings across his last three appearances coming into Sunday. He's shown upside at times but owns a 4.91 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 38:20 K:BB in 36.2 innings. It's possible he gets another start, but he'll likely return to a relief role for now.

  • Hall is listed as the Brewers' starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports. Hall logged 5.2 innings across two relief appearances since joining the Brewers as a September call-up, and Sunday will mark his first start since he tossed seven scoreless frames in Cincinnati on Aug. 30. Hall has the potential to look excellent on the right day, but he's struggled to stay healthy for prolonged stretches while working as a traditional starter. Arizona's team .787 OPS against lefties ranks second in baseball behind Philadelphia (.800 OPS), so Hall will carry some risk as a streaming option.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Returned to Nashville
    By RotoWire

The Brewers returned Hall to Triple-A Nashville after Friday's doubleheader versus the Reds, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Hall turned in what was by far his best start of the season during the Brewers' 14-0 victory in the nightcap of the doubleheader, claiming the win while making it through seven innings without allowing a run and tallying five strikeouts. However, since he was designated as the 27th man for the twin bill, he'll have to at least temporarily head back to the minors. The 25-year-old southpaw could return to Milwaukee to boost its pitching depth once rosters expand Sunday.

  • Hall (1-1) earned the win against Cincinnati in the second game of Friday's doubleheader, allowing four hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five. Hall was excellent in just his second big-league start since April. In two spot starts this month, the southpaw has allowed just one earned run while racking up 14 strikeouts over 11.2 innings. Overall, Hall sports a 4.82 ERA on the season with a 1.75 WHIP and 27:14 K:BB across 28 innings. While he figures to head back to Triple-A after the twin bill, he figures to be the first man up should the Brewers need rotation help down the stretch.

  • The Brewers recalled Hall from Triple-A Nashville on Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Hall is the designated 27th man for Friday's doubleheader against the Reds and will start the second game. The left-hander made a spot start earlier this month -- his first with the Brewers since April -- and struck out nine while yielding three runs (one earned) over 4.2 innings. Hall is likely to be sent back down immediately following the double dip.
