  • Guardians' Hunter Gaddis: Grabs sixth win
    By RotoWire

Gaddis (6-3) allowed a run on three hits over one inning to earn the win over the Reds on Wednesday. Gaddis allowed the tying run in the top of the eighth inning, but the Guardians responded with a three-run home run by Jose Ramirez. Gaddis was charged with a blown save, his first since April 30 and his fifth of the year, but he was also able to pick up his second win in a week. The right-hander has been an excellent setup man in his first full major-league campaign, posting a 1.59 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 65:14 K:BB across 73.2 innings while adding 34 holds.

  • Guardians' Hunter Gaddis: Earns 20th hold
    By RotoWire

Gaddis allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn a hold in Friday's 7-0 win over the Padres. Gaddis pitched in the eighth inning and protected a one-run lead before the Guardians' offense erupted. This was Gaddis' 20th hold of the season, and he's earned eight of them during a 17-inning scoreless streak dating back to June 7. The right-hander has been a pleasant surprise in his first full year in the bullpen, pitching to a 1.17 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 44:7 K:BB while adding a 3-2 record in a setup role.

  • Gaddis (3-2) took the loss Thursday versus the Royals, allowing one run on two hits over one inning. Gaddis gave up the go-ahead run on a Kyle Isbel single in the eighth inning. This ended Gaddis' scoreless streak at 13.1 innings and gave him his first loss since April 30. The right-hander has been excellent in a setup role this year with a 1.84 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 26:5 K:BB to go with 13 holds over 29.1 innings. As long as this setback doesn't become a slump, he should continue to help the Guardians hold leads in the late innings.
