Gaddis earned the save in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Tigers, allowing one hit with no strikeouts or walks in a scoreless ninth inning. After closer Cade Smith had pitched back-to-back days, Gaddis got the call in the ninth inning Thursday. The right-hander worked around a leadoff single to close out a two-run victory, picking up his third save this season. Gaddis has turned in seven straight scoreless innings, allowing just four hits in that span. His ERA sits at 3.11 through 63.2 innings this season with a 1.18 WHIP and 65:21 K:BB.

Gaddis recorded the final out of Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Mets to record his second save of the season. Gavin Williams took a no-hitter into the ninth inning, only for Juan Soto to spoil it with a solo shot. After Williams then walked a batter with two outs, Gaddis got the call to close things out. Cade Smith was unavailable after having pitched the prior two days and remains the favorite for saves in the Guardians' bullpen, but Gaddis appears to be the next man up for ninth-inning duty. Since the beginning of July, Gaddis has delivered a 2.94 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB in 15.1 innings while collecting a win, two saves and five holds over 16 appearances.

Gaddis allowed a hit and struck out three in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Twins. Cade Smith had a 23-pitch outing Friday, so Gaddis got the save opportunity in this contest. He did well, throwing 10 of 15 pitches for strikes to convert his first save of 2025. Primarily a setup man in the first half, Gaddis now has a chance to be part of a closing committee after Emmanuel Clase was placed on non-disciplinary paid leave as part of MLB's sports betting investigation. Gaddis has taken a step back this season, posting a 3.30 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 54:16 K:BB with 22 holds and three blown saves over 46.1 innings, but he's still been good enough to maintain high-leverage usage throughout 2025.

Gaddis experienced a cramp during Friday's outing but stayed in the game, MLB.com reports. Gaddis was checked out by the staff and remained in the game, picking up a hold along the way. He said there was some soreness Saturday but indicated he was feeling better. With the All-Star break coming up, Gaddis looks like he'll be ready to go when the schedule resumes.

The Guardians reinstated Gaddis (personal) from the bereavement list Tuesday. The right-hander stepped away from the team for a few days for personal reasons but is back on the active roster ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Dodgers. Gaddis has been a key bullpen piece for Cleveland this season with 13 holds and a 0.86 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 29:8 K:BB across 21 innings.
