Teodo hasn't allowed a run while striking out 14 and allowing eight baserunners over his last 10.2 innings (10 appearances) in the upper minors. The hard-throwing right-handed reliever has had an eventful age-24 campaign -- his first as a pure reliever after being developed as a starter his first four seasons. Teodo opened the year at Triple-A Round Rock and had a brutal three-game stretch in mid-April where he gave up 10 runs in 4.1 innings before landing on the injured list with shoulder fatigue. He was activated May 13 but then landed on the shelf again three weeks later with an undisclosed injury. He was assigned to Double-A Frisco once healthy in mid-August, and was promoted to Triple-A on Sept. 16, and he has continued his scoreless streak across two appearances. Given how hard Teodo throws and his long-standing control issues, he is a volatile dynasty asset, but he's still young enough to potentially figure into the Rangers' late-inning plans in a year or two.

Triple-A Round Rock placed Teodo on its 7-day injured list June 12 due to an unspecified injury. Teodo is on the shelf for the second time this season, after he previously missed about three weeks from late April through mid-May with a shoulder impingement. The 24-year-old right-hander has served as a full-time reliever for Round Rock when available, logging a 10.13 ERA, 2.25 WHIP and 19:17 K:BB over 16 innings.

Teodo (shoulder) came off the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Round Rock and threw a scoreless inning with one strikeout Thursday. Teodo's fastball averaged 96.9 mph (touched 97.5 mph) in his first game back off the injured list, which is roughly in line with how hard he was throwing before going on the IL with shoulder fatigue. Teodo has transitioned to a relief role this year due to shaky command as a starter. He has the stuff to be an option in the late innings for Texas in the coming years.

Teodo was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Round Rock due to right shoulder fatigue, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports. Teodo will be shut down for 7-to-10 days before resuming a throwing program. The hard-throwing right-hander has struggled this season with Round Rock as he makes a full-time move to the bullpen, posting an 8.68 ERA and 13:8 K:BB over 9.1 innings.

The Rangers optioned Teodo to minor-league camp Wednesday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports. Teodo was impressive this spring, tossing 4.1 scoreless innings with a 6:1 K:BB. For now, the Rangers appear set on continuing to develop the hard-throwing right-hander as a starting pitcher. However, a move to the bullpen could come at some point, and if it does, Teodo has the potential to eventually be a closer option.
