Bigge put the finishing touches on the Rays' shutout victory, retiring the side in order to lock down his first save in the majors. The 26-year-old Bigge has allowed just two earned runs in 11.2 innings with Tampa Bay this season. Overall, he's posted a 1.80 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB across 15 innings between the Rays and Cubs this year.

The Rays recalled Bigge from Triple-A Durham on Saturday. Bigge will come up from the minors alongside Cole Sulser in order to replace Colin Poche (shoulder) and Erasmo Ramirez in the bullpen. The 26-year-old Bigge has given up just one run in 7.1 MLB innings this season and owns a 2.25 ERA in Triple-A, though he figures to work in middle relief while with the Rays.

The Rays optioned Bigge to Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. The 26-year-old righty will be squeezed out of the big-league bullpen as Richard Lovelady (forearm) returns from the injured list. Bigge has given up just one earned run in 7.1 MLB innings this season, and he has not been scored upon in four frames since joining the Rays.

The Cubs optioned Bigge to Triple-A Iowa on Monday. Bigge has made a good initial impression with the Cubs in allowing one run with a 5:2 K:BB over 3.1 frames during two short stints in the majors. He will be back in the big-league bullpen eventually but will head back to Iowa for the time being.

Bigge was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday, but he'll now head back to Chicago in order to replace the injured Hayden Wesneski (forearm) in the Cubs' bullpen. Bigge owns a minuscule 0.77 ERA through 11.2 innings with Iowa, and he allowed one earned run in 2.1 frames over three appearances during his previous stint in the majors.
