  • Schlittler is now slated to start Friday in Philadelphia, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports. Will Warren was originally scheduled to make the start Friday, but he was deployed for two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Pittsburgh. Consequently, Schlittler -- who had previously been penciled in to start Sunday -- is moving up a couple of days, though he'll still be operating on a normal four days of rest. Schlittler will be looking for better results than in his first start of the second half, when he gave up three runs over 4.1 innings in a loss to the Dodgers.

  • Schlittler (9-6) took the loss in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader, allowing three runs on six hits, no walks and a hit batsman over 4.1 innings against the Dodgers. He struck out eight. Schlittler generated a game-high 20 whiffs and recorded eight strikeouts, but the Dodgers were able to string together hits and chase the right-hander after 98 pitches (69 strikes) before he could complete five frames. After uncharacteristically issuing four walks in his last start July 11 against the Nationals before the All-Star break, the 25-year-old didn't hand out a free pass Sunday, marking the ninth time he has done so in 2026. Schlittler will take a stellar 2.20 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 145:25 K:BB across 123 innings (21 starts) into his next outing, which is tentatively scheduled for Friday against the Phillies.

  • Schlittler took a no-decision Saturday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks in 6.2 innings. He struck out six. It looked like a rough day was brewing for Schlittler, who served up a pair of first-inning solo home runs, but he settled in and silenced the Washington bats the rest of the way. The four walks were a season-worst figure, though it didn't end up biting him Saturday. The All-Star right-hander is now up to 12 quality starts already this year. Schlittler trails only Dylan Cease's 148 strikeouts for the American League lead in the category, sporting a 2.05 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 137:25 K:BB over 118.2 innings.

  • Schlittler (8-4) took the loss against Boston on Thursday, allowing four runs -- all unearned -- on five hits and two walks while striking out nine batters over five innings. Schlittler survived two Yankees errors -- including one of his own -- in the first inning, but the same didn't hold true in the fifth. In that frame, the right-hander allowed the first two batters he faced to reach base but then got Wilyer Abreu to strike out. It looked like Schlittler might get out of the inning unscathed when Willson Contreras hit a sharp grounder to third base, but Amed Rosario couldn't field the ball, and the Red Sox ended up scoring four times. Though that was enough to hand Schlittler the loss, the emerging star still lowered his ERA to an AL-best 1.62 and got nine punchouts along with 16 whiffs. He's allowed just two earned runs across his past four starts (23.2 innings). Schlittler will try to get back into the win column his next time out, which is lined up to be a home matchup against Detroit.

  • Schlittler (5-1) notched the win Monday against the Orioles, allowing one run on seven hits and three walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out four. Despite walking a season-high three batters and fanning a season-low four, the hard-throwing right-hander still delivered another strong outing overall. It was the sixth time this year that Schlittler pitched at least five frames while yielding one earned run or zero, and he fell one out short of what could've been his fourth straight quality start. Schlittler will bring an outstanding 1.52 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 53:9 K:BB over 47.1 innings into his next scheduled outing in Milwaukee.
