The rookie wasted no time in getting the Rangers on the board, rocketing a Reid Detmers changeup over the wall in left field in the first inning. Langford struggled early in the season in his first look at big-league pitching, but over his last 30 games he's slashing .295/.378/.580 with eight of his 15 homers on the year. The 22-year-old will head into 2025 with sky-high expectations once again, but he may be better equipped to meet them the second time around.

Langford went 1-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Athletics. Langford stole a base for the second consecutive game and upped his season total to 18. The rookie outfielder, whose 543 plate appearances in 2024 is far beyond what he ever had in a collegiate season at Florida, is showing no signs that the major-league grind is wearing him down, and he's having his best month of the season. Langford owns a .310/.400/.598 slash line with six home runs, 17 RBI, six steals and 21 runs scored over 23 September games.

Langford cracked a two-run shot off Brady Basso in his first at-bat to put the Rangers on the board and later added a single in the fourth before swiping his 17th bag of the campaign. It marked the seventh multi-hit performance for the outfielder this month, where he's now batting .306 with six homers, 17 RBI, 20 runs and five stolen bases. Langford has also homered in two of his last three games, collecting five RBI over that stretch while scoring three times.

The rookie outfielder is enjoying a strong final month in his first year and is up to a .253/.323/.404 slash line with 13 homers, 69 RBI, 67 runs scored and 16 steals over 128 contests this season.
