  • Pratt went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored in Game 5 of the World Series on Wednesday. Coming off his 4-for-5 performance in Game 4 -- including a go-ahead homer in the 12th inning -- Pratt singled in his first two plate appearances Wednesday to give him a hit in six straight trips to the plate, which only ended with a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning. The rookie shortstop struggled defensively at times during the playoffs, but he was a consistent contributor at the plate. That was especially the case in the World Series, during which Pratt went 8-for-19 (.421) with two doubles, two homers, a steal, seven RBI and five runs.

  • Pratt went 4-for-5 with a double, a solo home run and an additional RBI in Game 4 of the World Series against the Rays on Tuesday. The rookie shortstop put the Brewers three outs away from their first World Series title with a solo homer in the 12th inning to break a 2-2 tie, but the Milwaukee bullpen couldn't close things out in the bottom of the frame. On a night when offense was at a premium, Pratt accounted for half of his team's hits and now has three extra-base hits and five RBI in the World Series.

Pratt (illness) will start at shortstop and bat seventh Saturday against the Cardinals. Pratt missed out on the starting nine Friday but entered the game off the bench, and he now seems to be feeling well enough to resume serving as Milwaukee's starting shortstop. The 22-year-old has enjoyed quite a bit of success at the plate this month, batting .306 (19-for-62) with 12 RBI, eight runs scored and six steals over 19 games.

    • By RotoWire

Pratt isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cardinals due to an illness, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports. Pratt went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a steal in Thursday's series finale against Philadelphia, but he'll be unavailable to begin the Brewers' final series of the regular season as he recovers from an illness. David Hamilton will take over at shortstop and bat ninth.

  • Pratt is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's tilt in Philadelphia. After starting each of the previous four contests, Pratt will retreat to the bench for Wednesday's game. It will be Joey Ortiz handling shortstop for the Brewers in Pratt's stead.
