It was a quiet offensive day for both teams Wednesday, but Gurriel knocked in Jose Altuve on a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Also, Gurriel was the only Astro to not strike out in the game. The 37-year-old is slashing .301/.373/.497 in 212 plate appearances and leads the Astros with 39 RBI.

Dalbec went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Astros.
Dalbec returned to the lineup against the left-handed Framber Valdez after two straight games against righties. He's 2-for-19 over the last seven games and faces diminishing playing time with the activation of Danny Santana, who's started at first base in three of the previous five games. Dalbec is expected to start Thursday, when right-hander Jake Odorizzi toes the rubber for Houston, per Ian Browne of MLB.com.

Mountcastle went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run Wednesday against the Twins.
Mountcastle took Alex Colome deep in the seventh inning to record his sixth home run of the season. He performed well across the team's three-game set against the Twins, collecting five hits in 12 at-bats while slugging two home runs, driving in five and scoring twice. That aided his season-long line, which still sits at an uninspiring .238/.265/.400 mark across 196 plate appearances.

Mariners' Evan White: Remains weeks from returning
The Mariners hope White (hip) will be ready to begin a rehab assignment after the team returns home from its current road trip in mid-June, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
He may not be the primary first baseman upon returning to the Mariners, as fill-in Ty France has hit a respectable .261 with 21 RBI this season. White, on the other hand, was in a 6-for-59 slump before suffering the injury May 13.

Mariners' Ty France: Remains hot Tuesday
France went 3-for-5 with an RBI ground-rule double in a loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.
France's third-inning two-bagger plated Kyle Seager with the Mariners' third run of the game and gave him his fifth RBI in the last three games. The 26-year-old now has four multi-hit efforts in the last eight contests and has given his batting average a 31-point boost to .261 during that post-injured-list stretch.

Rays' Dillon Paulson: Suffers torn ACL
Paulson recently underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Paulson was traded from the Dodgers to the Rays in late December, and he began the year with Double-A Montgomery. The 23-year-old slashed .340/.373/.396 with 13 RBI and five runs this season. It's not yet clear whether he'll be ready for the start of spring training in 2022.

Dalbec has taken a seat the last two games while Danny Santana started at first base against right-handed starters. He's batting .146 with one home run against righties compared to .314 with four homers against lefties. With Framber Valdez on the bump Wednesday, Dalbec will start at first base. Manager Alex Cora indicated he plans to start him again Thursday against right-hander Jake Odorizzi.

Olson opened the scoring with a solo shot off starter Marco Gonzales and tacked on a two-run single as part of a six-run seventh. This marks consecutive multi-hit outings for the power-hitting first baseman, who's now slashing .264/.354/.560.

Guerrero had a perfect night at the dish to record his third multi-hit effort in his last eight starts. The performance was highlighted by his three-run homer in the third inning off Sandy Alcantara. Guerrero now has 17 home runs on the season and is hitting .337/.441/.663 with 31 runs scored and 45 RBI across 227 plate appearances.
