O'Hearn went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the White Sox.

O'Hearn connected for a two-run shot off James Shields in his MLB debut. Prior to getting called up, the 25-year-old was hitting .232 with 11 homers and 52 RBI in 100 games for Triple-A Omaha. O'Hearn figures to see some time at first base as well as at designated hitter.

O'Hearn had his contract purchased from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

In a corresponding move, the club put Brian Goodwin (groin) on the DL and transferred Cheslor Cuthbert (back) to the 60-day disabled list. Through 100 games at Omaha this year, O'Hearn has slashed .232/.322/.391 with 11 home runs and 52 RBI. He will serve as Lucas Duda's backup at first base.

Olson went 2-for-3 with a walk in a loss to the Rockies on Sunday.

Olson generated the only multi-hit effort for the Athletics on an afternoon when they were mostly stymied by German Marquez and a pair of relievers. The two-hit tally snapped a 1-for-21 slump for Olson that had encompassed his last five games. The 24-year-old has endured his toughest full month of the season at the plate, as despite Sunday's production, he's still hitting just .207 (17-for-82) since the calendar flipped to July.

Cron went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs Sunday in the 11-5 loss to Baltimore.

Cron struck in the second and fourth innings with solo blasts, but the Orioles would cruise to an 11-5 victory in the series finale. He's gone 8-for-34 (.235) with four homers and six RBI over his last 10 games, so he'll look to build off Sunday's promising day at the dish moving forward. Tampa Bay is set to begin a three-game series with the Angels starting Tuesday.

Gurriel will start at second base and bat third Sunday against the Rangers.

Gurriel will make his first career start and second career appearance at the keystone in place of Jose Altuve (knee), who was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday. The Astros had planned to experiment with Gurriel as a utilityman in spring training, but those plans were temporarily tabled after he required surgery on his left hand. Now healthy and with the Astros now down two key regulars in Altuve and Carlos Correa (back), Gurriel will learn the new position on the fly, though the 34-year-old won't necessarily be asked to take on a full-time role at second base. According to Christian Boutwell of MLB.com, manager A.J. Hinch also listed Marwin Gonzalez, Alex Bregman, Tony Kemp and Tyler White as options at the position.

Voit was traded from the Cardinals to the Yankees on Saturday along with international bonus pool money in exchange for Chasen Shreve and Giovanny Gallegos.

A 27-year-old right-handed first baseman, Voit probably fits better in the American League, as he profiles as a quality designated hitter against left-handed pitching. He was hitting .299/.391/.500 with nine home runs in 271 plate appearances for Triple-A Memphis this year and has a career .240/.307/.432 slash line with five home runs in 137 plate appearances in the majors. Voit could be summoned to the big-league club in the coming days if the Yankees would like a right-handed slugger on the bench, or they could just choose to wait until September.

Guerrero will join Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Guerrero was recently returned to the Double-A level after spending some time with High-A Dunedin following a knee injury that cost him over a month of time. The top prospect will get a chance to show off his skills at the highest level in the minors, though he's exhibited major-league readiness should Toronto elect to bring him up in September. Across 61 games at Double-A New Hampshire this season, he's slashed .402/.449/.671 with 14 home runs, 60 RBI and three stolen bases.

Calhoun went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a game-ending solo home run to send the Angels to a 4-3 extra-inning victory over the Mariners on Friday.

The outfielder walked it off in this contest, touching up Juan Nicasio with a solo blast in the bottom of the 10th inning to send the Angels to the victory over their division rivals. It continued what has been a resurgent stretch for Calhoun following his dreadful start to the season, as his average is now finally above the Mendoza Line at .201. It'll take awhile for him to fully dig out of the early season hole, but his recent hot streak leaves hope he'll be able to do so.

Cron is not in the lineup against the Orioles on Friday, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.

Cron will take a seat after going 0-for-4 during Thursday's series-opening victory. Ji-Man Choi will get the nod as the designated hitter while batting in the cleanup spot for Friday's affair.

Calhoun's first-half struggles have been well documented (.187/.237/.319 prior to the All-Star break), but he has really turned things around with a .300/.354/.729 slash line and eight homers in 19 July contests. The veteran outfielder altered his batting stance at the end of June, and his more compact approach at the plate has provided immediate dividends. Calhoun has taken over leadoff duties against righties, helping boost his upward-trending fantasy value.
