Nick Pratto 1B | TEX
Royals' Nick Pratto: Considered team's top prospect
Pratto, the Royals' first-round pick in 2017, is considered the team's top prospect.
Pratto has the tools to develop into a fantastic big-league hitter, but his journey is just beginning. The 18-year-old is hitting .218 with a pair of home runs and 18 RBI through his first 22 games in the Arizona Rookie League.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Yankees' Garrett Cooper: Demoted to Triple-A
Cooper was sent down to Triple-A Scranton following Monday's game, Pete Caldera of The Record reports.
Cooper never found a rhythm for the Yankees, as he went just 6-for-25 with one walk against nine strikeouts in his eight games for New York. Chase Headley is on a roll and has settled into regular duty at first base for the time being, leaving Cooper the odd man out as the Yankees shuffle their roster following the trade deadline.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Won't require DL stint
General manager Billy Eppler said Calhoun (hamstring) won't require a trip to the disabled list, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Eppler said Calhoun is considered day-to-day, as Monday's tests revealed his hamstring injury is somewhere between spasms and a Grade 1 strain. Shane Robinson will likely man right field while the 29-year-old is on the mend, though it doesn't sound like he'll miss too much time.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Leaves with hamstring soreness
Calhoun exited Sunday's game against the Blue Jays with right hamstring soreness.
Calhoun is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday in Los Angeles, at which point we'll have a better idea as to the severity of his hamstring injury. He'll be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Exits with injury Sunday
Calhoun exited Sunday's game against the Blue Jays early with an apparent injury, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Calhoun was 0-for-2 at the plate before being replaced by Shane Robinson in right field in the third inning. The reason for Calhoun's early departure is not yet known, but that information should become available following the conclusion of Sunday's contest.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yulieski Gurriel: Hits bench Sunday
Gurriel is out of the lineup Sunday against the Tigers.
After a red-hot first three weeks of July, Gurriel has closed the month out with a whimper, registering only two hits in 25 at-bats over the past six games. Manager A.J. Hinch will give Gurriel a day to clear his mind, allowing Tyler White to pick up a start at first base in the series finale.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Hits bench following three straight starts
Cron is out of the lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Cron had drawn the previous three starts at first base, but since two of those turns had come against left-handed starters, it doesn't appear as though he's worked himself out of the short end of a platoon at the position with Luis Valbuena. Until he shows dramatic improvement in his .558 OPS against right-handed pitching, Cron won't be of much use outside of DFS contests or deeper leagues with daily lineup moves.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Hits three-run shot in loss
Abreu went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Saturday's loss to Cleveland.
After going 15 games without a homer, Abreu has now hit three in his last three games. He continues to move the fantasy needle in all setups with a .293/.349/.519 slash line, 19 bombs, 66 RBI and 58 runs.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Smashes fifth homer of season Friday
Cron went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer Friday against the Blue Jays.
Cron lifted his fifth homer of the year in the ninth inning of a game that was already out of hand. Aside from a poor .233 batting average along with a .370 slugging percentage, he also seems to be in a platoon with Luis Valbuena, so he's a difficult player to use in fantasy lineups.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Hits two solo shots in loss
Abreu went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs during Thursday's loss to the Cubs.
The pair of long balls ended a 15-game homer drought and gives Abreu 18 for the year to go along with 63 RBI, 57 runs and a .297/.352/.521 slash line. Those numbers move the needle in all fantasy settings, and Abreu projects to remain a solid option.
