  • Blue Jays OF Chris Colabello hits game-winning home run Wednesday

Blue Jays outfielder Chris Colabello only had one hit in five at-bats Wednesday, but he used the hit to send the Blue Jays to a 1-0 win over the Rays.

Colabello hit a solo home run off Brandon Gomes in the top of the 12th inning to give the Jays a lead they would not relinquish.

Prior to Wednesday's contest, Colabello was hitting .368 with one home run and six RBI in his last 10 games.

  • Jose Abreu 1B | HOU

White Sox's Jose Abreu goes 4 for 5 in win

His slash line for the season is now .300/.350/.500.

  • Rays' Asdrubal Cabrera goes yard in win over Blue Jays

Rays infielder Asdrubal Cabrera hit his fifth home run of the season in Tuesday night's 4-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Cabrera went yard in the eighth inning on a solo shot. Cabrera finished the game 2 for 4 and scored two of his team's four runs. This game could possibly break Cabrera out of his slump as he was hitting .189 over his previous 10 games.

For the season, Cabrera now has a slash line of .210/.267/.333.

  • Chris Colabello out of Blue Jays lineup for 2nd time in three games

Blue Jays left fielder Chris Colabello was held out of the starting lineup Tuesday against the Rays. It was the second time in three games and just the third time since May 4 he has not started.

It was originally reported Colabello might be dealing with a finger injury after he had one of his nails pulled back when the baseball hit him Monday. However, he was out of the lineup Tuesday because the Blue Jays wanted Ezequiel Carrera in left field for his defense with knuckleballer R.A. Dickey on the mound, per Sportsnet.ca.

Collabello, who drove in two runs during Monday's 8-5 win, is batting .319 (23 for 72) with one home run, four doubles, 12 RBI, 14 runs, two walks, 19 strikeouts and one stolen base in 18 June games.

  • White-hot Blue Jays LF Chris Colabello not slowing down a bit

Blue Jays left fielder Chris Colabello began struggling in late April after a torrid start last season. So those expecting him to do the same in 2015 cannot make the comparison with July approaching.

Colabello has been among the surprises of baseball for quite some time this year. He has shown no signs of slowing down. He has hit safely in 26 of his last 28 games to improve his slash line to .347/.388/.503.

And he's even getting hotter. Colabello is batting .393 (13-for-33) over his last nine games with nine runs scored. He has crossed the plate 29 times in 43 games.

  • Jose Abreu 1B | HOU

White Sox OF Jose Abreu on six-game streak

White Sox outfielder Jose Abreu has been stuck on 12 homers and 40 RBIs for more than a week, but he's continued to hit the ball well, taking a six-game hitting streak into action Monday.

Abreu went 2-for-5 with a run scored in Sunday's victory, Chicago's second in a row after an eight-game skid. He is 8-for-24 (.333) during the mini-streak, but only one of the hits, a double, has been for extra bases.

With hits in eight of his last 10 games, Abreu's average has risen to .288 this season.

  • OF Chris Colabello on bench Sunday for Blue Jays

Blue Jays outfieder Chris Colabello lost his eight-game hitting streak Saturday. He lost his starting spot Sunday - at least for one game.

Colabello is set to sit against Baltimore with Ezequiel Carrera taking his place. The former slammed 12 hits in 31 at-bats during his streak and has been a pleasant surprise all year, compiling a fine slash line of .344/.385/.497.

  • Rays' Asdrubal Cabrera hits go-ahead homer

Rays shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera went 2 for 4 in Friday's win over Cleveland. Cabrera hit a solo home run in the second inning to put the Rays in the lead to stay.
