White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu "felt great" after fielding 25 grounders, playing catch for 10 minutes and hitting 30 balls off a tee, reports MLB.com. Abreu (ankle) is eligible to come off the disabled list June 2.

Jose Abreu to do light work in batting cage
White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu, who has shed his walking boot, will do light work in the batting cage before Monday's game against the Indians, reports CSNChicago.com. Abreu is on the 15-day DL with an ankle injury and is prepping for a June 2 return.
He's hitting .260 with 15 homers and 42 RBI.

Chris Colabello, Chris Herrmann sent down to Triple-A
The Twins optioned outfielders Chris Colabello and Chris Herrmann to Triple-A Rochester following Sunday's loss to the Giants in San Francisco, the Star Tribune reports.
Colabello was in the midst of an 0-for-22 slump after starting the season with a sizzling .295/.343/.484 slash line in April. Herrmann had just five hits in 40 at-bats. -

Chris Colabello about to be odd man out in Minnesota?
With Twins outfielders Oswaldo Arcia and Josh Willingham set to rejoin the roster Monday, manager Ron Gardenhire didn't exactly give a ringing endorsement Sunday to Chris Colabello, who is mired in a 0-for-22 slump and is batting .110 in his last 20 games.
"He's not swinging very well right now," Gardenhire said, per the Pioneer Press.

Carlos Santana records blast, three walks in Baltimore
Indians struggling third baseman Carlos Santana, who was serving as a designated hitter Saturday, slammed his sixth home run of the season in a win over Baltimore. He launched it barely over the outstretched arm of Nick Markakis with one on in the seventh to conclude the scoring.
Santana, who also walked three times, has shown signs of emerging from his season-long doldrums with hits in four of his last five games. He does own a respectable on-base percentage of .319 and ranks second in the majors with 41 walks.

Two key Indians still sidelined with knee ailments
Knee issues have kept Indians first baseman Nick Swisher and shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera out of the lineup for the second straight game. Both are sidelined Saturday afternoon in Baltimore.
Cabrera had an MRI on the left knee Friday and could miss the Sunday game as well, per the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Swisher has soreness in the inside of his right knee.
Both had emerged from early-season slumps to different degrees. Swisher has hit safely in seven of his last eight games to raise his average from .199 to .211. Cabrera has skyrocketed his mark from .205 to .259 over the last 14 games.

MRI comes back negative for Asdrubal Cabrera
Indians shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera underwent an MRI on his injured left knee, which came back negative, the Plain Dealer reports.
Cabrera took a pitch off the knee Wednesday and left the game Thursday night against the Orioles when it became sore. He is not in the starting lineup Friday and remains uncertain for Saturday in Baltimore.
