Cooper (wrist) is in the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

A wrist injury bothered Cooper over the weekend, but he is feeling good enough to slot in as San Diego's designated hitter Monday night. He will hit eighth against Miami starter Ryan Weathers.

Wade (back) will start at first base and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Phillies, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Wade is back in action after a back issue kept him on the bench for Sunday's 4-3 win over Atlanta. He'll likely remain an inconsistent member of the lineup versus left-handed pitching, but a healthy Wade should continue to serve as the Giants' main table setter against righties.

Rivas is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Rivas will hit the bench for the third straight game while the Pirates face a left-handed pitcher (Drew Rom) for the second consecutive day. Connor Joe will step in for the lefty-hitting Rivas as the Pirates' starting first baseman.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

The slugging first baseman took Dakota Hudson deep in the fourth inning, Alonso's fourth homer in the last five games and his 39th of the year. He's been flexing his muscles in August, slashing .254/.376/.690 through 20 games with nine long balls and 19 RBI as he closes in on his third career 40-homer campaign. Alonso also sits six RBI shy of his third season in triple digits.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer, three RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Mets.

Goldschmidt jump started the Cardinals' offense with an RBI-single in the third and then a two-run blast in the fifth gave them a 3-2 lead and knocked Carlos Carrasco out of the game. It was his fourth game with at least three RBI this season and his fourth multi-hit effort over his last eight games. The long ball was Goldschmidt's 20th of the season, marking the 10th time he's reached that milestone in his career. Though it's a step down from his MVP season in 2022, the 35-year-old is having another productive campaign. He's now slashing .277/.364/.455 with 65 RBI, 70 runs and a 65:122 BB:K in 546 plate appearances.

Flores went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's victory over Atlanta.

Flores put the Giants ahead 3-2 with a two-run homer off Max Fried in the third inning, his 17th long ball of the season and his ninth in 31 games since the All-Star break. The 32-year-old Flores is just two homers shy of matching his career high set last season. He's now slashing an impressive .301/.359/.541 with 43 RBI and 40 runs scored across 323 plate appearances on the campaign.

Rivas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

The lefty-hitting Rivas will get a second straight day off, this time against southpaw Dallas Keuchel after he was on the bench for Saturday's 7-4 win while right-hander Sonny Gray took the hill for Minnesota. Since joining the Pirates in an Aug. 1 deadline deal with the Padres, Rivas is hitting just .179 in 15 games. His ongoing struggles could prompt the Pirates to pull the plug on him as a strong-side platoon player at first base and instead install the right-handed-hitting Connor Joe as a full-time option at the position.

Wade went 2-for-4 with a solo home run before exiting Saturday's contest with an apparent back injury, and he continues to be evaluated, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. The 29-year-old may not have started Sunday regardless of the injury since lefty Max Fried is pitching for Atlanta. Wilmer Flores is manning first base while J.D. Davis receives a turn at designated hitter.

Cooper (wrist) was hit by a pitch as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning of the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against Arizona and was immediately removed for a pinch runner.

After jamming his wrist Friday and being left out of the starting lineup for Saturday's matinee, Cooper felt well enough to pinch hit with the Padres trying to overcome a 6-4 deficit in the final frame, but he was drilled by a 93.8 mph Paul Sewald fastball just above the left elbow. Cooper was immediately replaced by Jose Azocar on the basepaths, but given that he represented the tying run, manager Bob Melvin might have made that move regardless. Cooper didn't make an appearance in the nightcap, but with San Diego now off Sunday after MLB juggled the schedule due to Hurricane Hilary, the 32-year-old will get a chance to heal up ahead of a home series against the Marlins that's still set to begin Monday.

Montero went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, a run and four RBI in an 11-5 win against the White Sox on Saturday.

Montero couldn't get a homer to complete a cycle, but he nonetheless finished with a big stat line that included a season-high four RBI. The first baseman also notched the fourth three-hit game of the season, two of which have come over his past four games. Montero has gone 7-for-13 with five RBI over that span.
