Cooper appeared as a pinch hitter Saturday and was hit by a pitch in the right arm, forcing him to leave the game. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but it's a good sign the 31-year-old remains on the active roster after the Marlins made a flurry of roster moves Sunday. Avisail Garcia is resting his legs as the designated hitter while Bryan De La Cruz starts in right field.

Goldschmidt, who is starting at first base Sunday versus the Reds, won't be able to travel with the Cardinals for the two-game set against the Blue Jays this week due to his vaccination status, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Goldschmidt has homered in three straight games and will have a chance to build on that streak Sunday, but he won't be able to travel with the team to Toronto on Tuesday since he's apparently unvaccinated. Nolan Arenado will also be unavailable, leaving St. Louis without its best two players for the two-game set. A move to the restricted list will come ahead of Tuesday's series opener.

Freeman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Giants.

Freeman gave the Dodgers some insurance with his seventh-inning blast, and it was almost necessary as the Giants pushed for a ninth-inning rally. The first baseman has gone 22-for-41 (.537) during his current 11-game hitting streak, which has seen him swat five of his 15 homers for the year. He's added 61 RBI, 64 runs scored, seven stolen bases, 31 doubles and two triples while slashing .324/.402/.544 in 93 contests overall.

Cooper was hit in the right arm by a pitch in Saturday's contest against the Pirates, Jake Crouse of MLB.com reports.

Cooper entered the game as pinch hitter for Luke Williams in the top of the eighth inning, but he was struck by a 96 mph Wil Crowe sinker and was forced to exit the game. More information on his injury will likely come after the conclusion of Saturday's contest.

Cooper isn't starting Saturday against the Pirates, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cooper started the last five games and went 1-for-20 with a walk and nine strikeouts. Nick Fortes is serving as the designated hitter and batting second Saturday.

Wade isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Wade is sitting for a second consecutive game since the Giants are facing left-hander Julio Urias on Saturday. Darin Ruf is serving as the designated hitter while Luis Gonzalez starts in right field.
