Keston Hiura 2B | LAD
Brewers' Keston Hiura: Homers in series opener
Hiura went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two strikeouts in Friday's 5-4 win over the Rockies.
Hiura put the Brewers on the board with his second home run of the season in the seventh inning Friday, and he drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 11th. The 24-year-old nearly went yard in his return to the major-league lineup Wednesday, and he should have plenty of chances to bounce back from his early struggles in 2021 with Daniel Vogelbach (hamstring) slated to miss approximately six weeks.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Nationals' Josh Bell: Cleared to return Saturday
Bell (side) is slated to return to the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Bell was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to right side soreness that kept him out Friday, but he underwent an MRI that revealed no structural damage. He took swings ahead of Friday's matchup and was available off the bench if needed, and manager Dave Martinez said that the 28-year-old will be back in action Saturday.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Impressive in return
Cooper went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, two RBI, four runs scored and a walk in Friday's win over Washington.
Cooper returned from the injured list and made his presence felt right away, as he was one of the best players in a game in which the Marlins recorded 11 runs and 11 hits. The first baseman homered for the first time since May 22 with his two-run shot in the eighth inning.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Recalled by San Francisco
Wade was recalled by the Giants on Friday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The 27-year-old was sent down by the Giants on Sunday, but he'll return to the major-league club after Brandon Belt (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Wade has appeared in 26 games for San Francisco this year and has slashed .265/.344/.470 with four home runs, 13 runs, 11 RBI and two stolen bases.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Returns to lineup Friday
Flores (hamstring) is back in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Flores didn't start Wednesday's game against the Angels because of hamstring tightness, though he did get one at-bat off the bench. The issue appears to have subsided as Flores is batting fifth and playing third base against lefty Sean Manaea during the series opener.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Reinstated, starting Friday
Cooper (back) was activated from the 10-day injured list and is starting at first base Friday against the Nationals, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
The 30-year-old has been sidelined nearly three weeks due to a lumbar strain, but he'll rejoin the Marlins after appearing in a pair of rehab games with Triple-A Jacksonville. Cooper should see semi-regular starts between first base and the corner outfield spots, and he could have an expanded role in left field while Corey Dickerson (foot) remains sidelined.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Nationals' Josh Bell: Out of Friday's lineup
Bell (side) is not in the lineup Friday against the Marlins, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
The 28-year-old was scratched from Thursday's starting nine with soreness in his right side, and the results from his MRI have yet to be announced. Bell should be considered day-to-day until the Nationals provide an update. In the meantime, Ryan Zimmerman will receive another start at first base.

The first baseman is slashing .254/.363/.471 with 17 home runs, 41 RBI and 48 runs. In addition, he's drawn a team-leading 45 walks. Prior to Wednesday's four-hit night, he'd been hitless in four straight games, marking his second-longest stretch without a hit this season.
