Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: On bench Saturday
Hoskins will not start Saturday's game against Atlanta.
Hoskins' power is as present as ever this season, as his eight homers tie him for ninth in the league. His plate discipline has been strangely absent, however, as his 33.6 percent strikeout rate and 6.6 percent walk rate are both far worse than his career 24.1 percent strikeout rate and 14.6 percent walk rate. Despite those shaky numbers, there's been no indication that his day off Saturday is anything other than a routine one. Brad Miller starts at first base in his absence.

Joey Votto 1B | TOR
Reds' Joey Votto: Shifts to injured list
Votto (thumb) was officially placed on the 10-day injured list Friday.
The 37-year-old fractured his left thumb during Wednesday's win over the White Sox and is expected to be sidelined for about a month, so it was only a matter of time before he was moved to the injured list. Mike Moustakas will move across the infield and start at first base Friday for Cincinnati. Alex Blandino received the start at first base in Votto's only previous absence this season and could also see some time there while the veteran is sidelined.
