Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt: Gets breather Tuesday
Goldschmidt is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.
Goldschmidt will head to the bench for what appears to be a regular day off after starting the previous 27 games, a stretch during which he hit just .149/.252/.248 with 38 strikeouts in 115 plate appearances. Daniel Descalso will start at first base and hit cleanup in his stead.

Alex Blandino 1B | SF
Reds' Alex Blandino: Playing time curtailed
Blandino hasn't started a game since May 20 against the Cubs, though he's been a pinch hitter in nearly every game that he hasn't started since the return of Eugenio Suarez. However, he is in the starting lineup Tuesday night against the Diamondbacks, batting leadoff and playing shortstop.
Blandino has hit .268/.355/.329 in his time with the big club this year, with just three extra-base hits and no stolen bases so far. Unless and until the Reds give up on Jose Peraza or decide to trade Scooter Gennett, there's just not a path for playing time for him. Making matters more urgent for him is that Nick Senzel just returned to Triple-A Louisville from extended spring training, and the Reds will likely want to get a look at him by the end of the summer.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Exits with mouth injury
Hoskins left Monday's game against the Dodgers after fouling a ball off his mouth, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Hoskins walked off the field with the team trainer after he appeared to be bleeding from the mouth. The injury doesn't appear to be overly serious, as manager Game Kapler described it as a "big cut" on Hoskins' lip and said he's "not overly concerned," per Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Hoskins went 0-for-4 with a run scored prior to leaving. An update on his status should come when the Phillies reveal their lineup hours before their game Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Cubs' Anthony Rizzo: Drives in three Monday
Rizzo went 3-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and three RBI in Monday's win over the Pirates.
Rizzo extended his hitting streak to 10 games, and during that time he's 13-for-39 with a home run and 13 RBI. The 28-year-old slugger is still hitting just .228 for the season, but his track record and recent hot streak suggest that we'll see that number continue to climb.

Asdrubal Cabrera 1B | CIN
Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: On bench for Game 2 of doubleheader
Cabrera is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the Braves.
Cabrera will head to the bench for the second game of Monday's twin bill after playing all nine innings and going 1-for-4 in Game 1. In his place, Luis Guillorme will start at second base and hit seventh.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Mets' Wilmer Flores: Lands on 10-day DL
Flores was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday with lower-back soreness, Tim Britton of The Athletic New York reports.
This comes at an inopportune time, as Flores had been playing regularly and was hitting .290/.352/.435 with one home run in 62 May at-bats. He will be eligible to return June 8 against the Yankees. Luis Guillorme, who is starting at third base against the Braves, figures to pick up some extra at-bats while Flores is out.

Justin Bour 1B | SF
Marlins' Justin Bour: Slugs 10th homer Sunday
Bour went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Nationals.
It's his 10th homer of the season, and first in 10 games. Bour failed to record a single RBI during that power outage, leaving him with only 24 through 50 games on the year, and his .236/.381/.452 slash line is an indication of how few hittable pitches the Marlins' lone true slugger is seeing. Until he gets some help in the lineup, don't expect a big improvement in his numbers.

Asdrubal Cabrera 1B | CIN
Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Hits eighth home run
Cabrera went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two RBI on Sunday against the Brewers.
Cabrera took left-hander Boone Logan deep in the seventh inning for his eighth home run of the season. It was his third home run and fifth extra-base hit off a lefty in 53 at-bats this season. While he has cooled off a bit in May, Cabrera remains productive and has hit in the top third of the Mets' lineup for much of the season.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Braves' Freddie Freeman: Knocks in two runs
Freeman went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one walk and one double Sunday against the Braves.
Freeman delivered a two-RBI double in the sixth inning, putting the Braves up 6-0 on the way to a 7-1 victory. Freeman is batting .325 with nine home runs and 38 RBI through 51 games. The Braves are set to begin a three-game series with the Mets on Monday.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Mets' Wilmer Flores: Headed for further examination
Flores will travel back to New York for further tests after he exited Sunday's matchup against Milwaukee with back soreness, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.
We won't know the extent of Flores' injury until the results of his tests come back. If he needs a significant amount of time to recover, look for Jose Reyes or Luis Guillorme to get a shot at third base.
