  • Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt: Stays hot with a pair of hits

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a pair of runs scored in Sunday's win over the Marlins.

Goldy extended his current hitting streak to seven games and raised his batting average up to .283, which is his high-water mark since the fifth game of the season. The slugger has experienced no shortage of production in the other counting categories and is on pace for another exceptional year now that the average is on the rise.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Cubs' Anthony Rizzo: Three hits and three RBI in Sunday's win

Rizzo went 3-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and three RBI in Sunday's 13-2 rout of the Braves.

He continues to rake in June, and Rizzo is now hitting .395 (15-for-38) on the month with three homers, 10 RBI and eight runs scored. His 47 RBI also puts him in second place in the NL, just two ahead of Kris Bryant for the team lead.

  • Justin Bour 1B | SF

Marlins' Justin Bour: Sits Sunday against a lefty

Bour is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Bour mashes right-handed pitching to the tune of a .815 OPS, but is a mere 3-for-17 against southpaws this season. He'll take a seat Sunday with lefty Robbie Ray on the hill for the Diamondbacks, giving way to the right-handed Chris Johnson at first base.

  • Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Not in Sunday's lineup

Cabrera is out of the lineup Sunday against the Brewers.

Cabrera hasn't had a day off since May 1, so he was more than overdue for a regular maintenance day, despite riding a four-game hit streak. In his stead, the recently-added Matt Reynolds will draw the start at shortstop.

  • Ryan Howard 1B | COL

Phillies' Ryan Howard: Will likely be DH Monday

Manager Pete Mackanin said Howard will probably be used as the DH during the Phillies' two-game series in Toronto that starts Monday, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Mackanin let Howard know Friday that he has lost his starting job at first base to Tommy Joseph. He will be limited to spot starts and pinch hitting duties moving forward.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Cubs' Anthony Rizzo: Back in lineup Saturday

Rizzo (back) will rejoin the lineup Saturday, hitting in his usual cleanup spot.

Rizzo was a late scratch Friday due to some back tightness, but it appears he's loosened up since then. He'll be facing the Braves' Matt Wisler, while Javier Baez will sit after moving over to play first in Rizzo's place Friday.

  • Justin Bour 1B | SF

Marlins' Justin Bour: Pinch-hit grand slam helps Marlins to Friday win

Bour slugged a pinch-hit grand slam in the seventh inning to help the Marlins capture an 8-6 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Left on the bench with lefty Patrick Corbin starting in opposition, Bour made his presence felt during a seven-run seventh inning that sealed the victory. Though he'll likely continue to cede at-bats to Chris Johnson when a left-hander is on the hill, Bour has chipped in a solid .246/.316/.473 slash line with 10 home runs and 30 RBI over 167 at-bats for the Marlins.

  • Tommy Joseph 1B | TEX

Phillies' Tommy Joseph: Officially named starter

Manager Pete Mackanin met with Ryan Howard before Friday's game and told him that he has lost his starting job to Joseph, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Mackanin had already shifted the majority of the playing time to Joseph, but this further solidifies things. Joseph celebrated the news with two home runs Friday and now has seven in his first 21 games in the majors.

  • Ryan Howard 1B | COL

Phillies' Ryan Howard: Loses starting job

Manager Pete Mackanin met with Howard before Friday's game and told him that he has lost his starting job to Tommy Joseph, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Mackanin had already shifted the majority of the playing time to Joseph, but this further solidifies things. Howard is hitting just .150 with a .559 OPS this season and will be limited to spot starts and pinch hitting moving forward.

  • Tommy Joseph 1B | TEX

Phillies' Tommy Joseph: Smacks pair of homers in Friday loss

Joseph went 2-for-4 with a pair of two-run homers in Friday's 9-6 loss to the Nationals.

The 24-year-old rookie continues to pay huge dividends for both the Phillies and fantasy owners savvy enough to have nabbed him, and appears to have wrested the starting first base job away from Ryan Howard. Joseph already has seven RBI in June, and now has seven round-trippers over just 65 at-bats to go along with a .323/.333/.677 line.
