Bell is out of the lineup against Arizona on Friday, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

He will take a seat on the bench for the second time in the past three games as left-hander Patrick Corbin takes the mound for the Diamondbacks. In Bell's place, Jose Osuna will start at first base and bat sixth.

Smith is not in the lineup against the Dodgers on Friday.

Smith will remain on the bench for a second straight game with southpaw Alex Wood on the hill for Los Angeles. In his place, Wilmer Flores will get another start at first base.

Calhoun went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, two runs scored and a stolen base Thursday against the Blue Jays.

Calhoun took John Axford deep in the fourth inning for his third home run of the season. While he did not show any ability at the plate earlier this season, Calhoun has now homered in consecutive games. He also stole his fourth base of the season, a surprising development given that his career high in a season is five.

Stassi signed a contract with the New Britain Bees of the independent Atlantic League, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Stassi has moved to independent ball after getting cut loose by the Twins earlier in the year. He'll look to parlay his performance with the Bees into another big-league opportunity.

Smith is out of the lineup against Colorado on Thursday.

With left-hander Kyle Freeland taking the mound for the Rockies, Smith will take a seat in favor of Wilmer Flores at first base and Jose Bautista in left field. Over 10 games with the Mets this year, Smith is hitting .250 with a .776 OPS.

Cabrera is not in the lineup against Colorado on Thursday.

Cabrera will receive a breather after going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double during Wednesday's loss. Also in that game, Cabrera appeared to pick up a minor arm injury after landing on his left elbow on a swipe tag in the seventh inning. He claimed that he felt fine after the contest and the trainers said that he didn't require any further evaluation, though he was seen icing the elbow after the game. In his place, Jose Reyes will man second base and bat seventh in the order. Expect Cabrera back in the starting nine Friday.

Smith went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and two runs scored in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.

Making another start in left field, the 23-year-old took full advantage of the thin air at Coors Field to put together his first three-hit game in the majors, and his first with multiple extra-base hits. Smith has a .250/.276/.500 slash line through 10 games since his promotion, and his spot in the starting lineup -- whether at first base or in a corner outfield spot -- seems secure for now.

Kirilloff was promoted to High-A Fort Myers on Wednesday, Jeff Johnson of TheGazette.com reports.

The 20-year-old corner outfielder made up for lost time (he missed all of 2017 due to Tommy John surgery) with Low-A Cedar Rapids, hitting .333/.391/.607 with 13 home runs (.274 ISO) and an outstanding 47:24 K:BB in 281 plate appearances. His stock in dynasty leagues is way up, as he is displaying the potential for a plus hit tool and at least plus game power.

Olson went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, three runs scored, a walk and a strikeout in Wednesday's win over the Padres.

Olson blasted a solo shot in the third inning -- his 15th of the season -- as one of five Oakland home runs in the 12-4 win. The 24-year-old is mired in a 5-for-40 (.125) slump even with Wednesday's two-hit outing, dropping his slash line on the year to .237/.320/.451.

Cron is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Astros, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Cron has just one hit over his last eight games, so he'll head to the bench to hit the reset button. Carlos Gomez is starting at DH in his stead, allowing Johnny Field to pick up a start in the outfield.
