Gurriel finished 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three runs and two RBI Sunday against the Yankees.

This stat line was almost a carbon copy of Saturday's effort, in which Gurriel also finished just a triple shy of the cycle. The first baseman's six RBI in that two-game span equaled his output from the previous 19 games combined, and he now sits at a respectable 10 homers and 21 doubles for the season.

Carter will start at first base and bat seventh Sunday against the Astros, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Though Carter was designated for assignment just over a week ago, a rash of injuries thinned the Yankees' depth at first base and resulted in the veteran receiving the call back to the big club Thursday. It looks like he'll serve as the primary option at first base through the All-Star break, as Sunday will mark his third start in a row. Carter is batting .206/.284/.383 on the season and will need to show renewed power before fantasy players outside of deeper formats can keep him in the lineup with confidence.

Flores is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Flores -- who is currently hitting .285 with a .313 OBP -- will be stationed on the bench for the third time in the past four games. The hot-hitting T.J. Rivera will take his place at third base, batting sixth.

Gurriel went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a two-run double during Saturday's win over the Yankees.

Gurriel's double was in the bottom of the eighth frame and plated the game-winning run. He's in the midst of a nice fantasy run with five homers, 22 RBI, 17 runs, a .324 batting average and .898 OPS over the last 27 games. He's attached to a high-powered offense, and while he receives the odd day off, that should help Gurriel from wearing down as the season progresses.

Abreu went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Saturday against the Rangers.

Abreu smashed his 15th bomb of the year off Cole Hamels to give the White Sox a two-run lead in the first inning of a home loss. His current .516 slugging percentage represents his highest level since his rookie season, and he's slightly outproducing his draft-day value.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a ninth-inning solo home run in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Braves, breaking up Mike Foltynewicz's no-hit bid in the process.

The rookie was the villain in the eyes of the Braves and their fans, launching a 402-foot shot to right to lead off the ninth and spoil the potential no-no. Olson still sports an unsightly .175 average, but is slugging .500 thanks in large part to five extra-base hits (one double, four homers). He's also now riding a modest three-game hitting streak, while all four of the aforementioned round trippers have come in the last six contests.

Carter went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 13-4 win over the Astros.

His exile from the Yankees lasted all of about a week after Tyler Austin (hamstring) and Matt Holliday (illness) hit the DL, leaving the team scrambling for options at first base. Carter was hitting ninth Friday, however, and despite his strong performance in a blowout he still has a weak .209 batting average, .679 OPS and 72 strikeouts in 58 games on the year, affording him very little job security.

Votto went 2-for-2 with a pair of solo homers and a walk in Thursday's 11-3 loss to Milwaukee.

The veteran first baseman ended up being pulled early with the outcome not in question, but not before Votto increased his homer total to 23 -- the second-highest total in the National League. Even though the Reds are going nowhere fast with a 33-45 record, Votto's turning in another incredible fantasy campaign, offering high-end production in every category but steals.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday's loss to St. Louis.

The set-and-forget first baseman is turning in another sterling campaign with 19 homers, 66 RBI, 13 stolen bases, 69 runs and a .323/.439/.596 slash line. Goldschmidt's numbers put him among the most valuable fantasy hitters, and he remains on pace to post career-high marks in home runs, RBI, runs and batting average.

Freeman (wrist) said his return date depends on how he's hitting during his upcoming minor-league rehab assignment, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports. If he feels ready, he could be back in the lineup for next Friday's matchup against the Nationals, otherwise he may wait until after the All-Star break to return.

Freeman is scheduled to begin a three-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday. He's set to play Saturday, Monday and Tuesday before ultimately making a decision regarding his next step.
