Rizzo (forearm) participated in fielding drills Friday and has also begun hitting, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

Rizzo began going through on-field workouts in late July, and it seems he's finally been cleared for baseball activities. There are still no plans in place for him to begin a rehab assignment, though it's still possible the first baseman meets his goal of returning to the Yankees before the end of August.

Wade is absent from the lineup for Friday's game in Cincinnati, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

The Reds are starting lefty Andrew Abbott, so the left-handed hitting Wade will begin the game on the bench as he typically does in such situations. New trade acquisition Mark Canha will play first base Friday for the Giants.

Toglia went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's extra-inning win over the Angels.

Toglia jumped on the second pitch he saw from Carson Fulmer in the second inning and sent it into the stands for a two-run shot, giving Colorado an early lead. It marked the first baseman's third long ball in his last six games and his 10th since the start of July. Toglia has also tallied multiple hits in three of his last eight contests, batting .300 over that stretch with six RBI and seven runs scored.

The Giants optioned Villar to Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday.

Villar went 4-for-18 with eight strikeouts during his most recent stint in the big leagues. The Giants are expected to call up Jerar Encarnacion from Triple-A Sacramento to replace Villar on the active roster.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and two runs scored in Thursday's loss to the Cubs.

Goldschmidt took Shota Imanaga deep for a solo homer in the opening frame to give the Cardinals an early lead and went on to add two more knocks on the night to give him just his third game this season with three or more hits. The first baseman has now recorded multiple hits in six of his last 10 contests, going 14-for-39 (.435) over that stretch with three homers, four RBI and seven runs scored. Goldschmidt has also scored at least one run in five consecutive games.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 4-2 victory against the Marlins on Thursday.

Olson hit one of three Atlanta homers, swatting a two-run shot to right field in the first inning. The first baseman has gone deep in two straight games and in four of his past six contests, belting five homers and driving in eight runs during that span. While he's very unlikely to come close to the 54 long balls he racked up last year, Olson has given himself a shot to reach 30 homers for the fourth straight season with his recent power surge, as he's now up to 18 on the campaign.

Pasquantino went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in a 7-1 win against the Tigers on Thursday.

Pasquantino drove in more than half of the Royals' runs in the victory, belting a three-run shot in the first inning and a solo blast in the eighth. The first baseman had gone 17 contests without homering before he went deep Wednesday, and he's now swatted three long balls over his past two games. Pasquantino also has seven multi-hit performances over his past 11 contests and is slashing .413/.438/.652 with 13 RBI during that span.

France entered Wednesday's game in the eighth inning and went 0-for-1 in a 13-4 loss to the Cubs.

France made his debut for the Reds, playing the final two innings at first base. He was acquired by the Reds on Monday, presumably to be a starter at first base, but he was not used Tuesday or Wednesday despite being in the team's dugout.

Pasquantino went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 10-3 win over the White Sox.

Pasquantino hit an RBI single in the first inning before adding a two-run homer in the ninth. The long ball was his first since July 6, though the first baseman was still productive by batting .309 with 10 RBI over the 17 contests between homers. For the season, he's up to a .262/.320/.429 slash line with 12 homers, 72 RBI, 46 runs scored, 24 doubles and no stolen bases across 105 games.

Olson went 2-for-4 with a walk and two solo home runs in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Brewers.

The slugger took Freddy Peralta deep in the fourth inning before clobbering a Nick Mears offering in the eighth. Travis d'Arnaud followed up each blast with a homer of his own, as they became the third pair of Atlanta teammates to go back-to-back twice in a game -- Fred McGriff and David Justice accomplished the feat in 1993, with Javy Lopez and Andruw Jones also doing it in 1998. Olson's first multi-homer performance of 2024 comes as part of a hot streak that has seen him bat .290 (9-for-31) over the last eight games with four long balls and six RBI.
