Rangers' Donovan Solano: Lands with Texas
Solano signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Solano lost his spot on the Mariners on Sept. 1 after slashing .252/.295/.344 with 21 RBI and 10 runs scored across 176 plate appearances. Romy Gonzalez 2B | BOS
Red Sox's Romy Gonzalez: Dealing with sore knee
Gonzalez was taken out of Tuesday's game versus the Athletics due to left knee soreness, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
Gonzalez's knee forced him to make an early exit in the second inning, but not before he blasted a leadoff home run in the first frame and an RBI double in the second. The severity of the 29-year-old's injury remains unknown, keeping the door open for David Hamilton or Nick Sogard to pick up reps at the keystone in the near future.

Romy Gonzalez 2B | BOS
Red Sox's Romy Gonzalez: Lifted early Tuesday
Gonzalez was removed from Tuesday's game against the Athletics with an apparent injury, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
It's unclear what kind of injury Gonzalez is dealing with that forced him to leave Tuesday's game in the second inning, but the Red Sox should provide some clarity in the near future. The 29-year-old had already had a productive evening before being pulled, going 2-for-2 with a solo homer and an RBI double. Although he started at first base Tuesday, additional absences for Gonzalez would likely result in increased playing time at second for Nick Sogard and David Hamilton.

Tyler Locklear 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Tyler Locklear: Won't return in 2025
Locklear (elbow) will miss the remainder of the season, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.
Left elbow inflammation sent Locklear to the injured list Monday, and it seems the Diamondbacks have already decided to keep him shut down for the rest of the season. The 24-year-old first baseman is slated for further imaging to determine the extent of his injury, and there's a chance he may go under the knife to address the issue. He'll finish 2025 with a .175/.267/.262 slash line through 116 MLB plate appearances alongside three home runs, six RBI, 11 runs scored and three stolen bases. With Locklear sidelined, Ildemaro Vargas is the favorite to take over as Arizona's first baseman for the rest of the year.

Contreras' six-game suspension was reduced to four games following an appeal, which will allow him to return for the second game of St. Louis' series against the Mariners. The 33-year-old's .786 OPS represents his worst mark since he joined the Cardinals in 2023, though he went 5-for-18 with a homer and five RBI across his last five games before serving his suspension.

Twins' Kody Clemens: Resting Tuesday
Clemens isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

Luis Arraez 2B | SF
Padres' Luis Arraez: Omitted from lineup Tuesday
Arraez is not in the lineup for the Padres on Tuesday versus the Reds.
Arraez is sitting for the second time in five games, which is rare for the first baseman that plays almost every game. Ryan O'Hearn has the start at first base Tuesday while Gavin Sheets serves as the designated hitter.
