  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Exits with cramping in hamstring

Albies was removed from Sunday's game against the Mets as a precautionary measure due to cramping in his left hamstring.

Albies appeared to be running slower than usual to first base on a groundout in the top of the eighth inning, and he was replaced defensively in the bottom of the frame. He went 0-for-3 with a walk prior to his departure and should be considered day-to-day ahead of Monday's series opener against the Yankees.

  • Alan Trejo SS | COL

Rockies' Alan Trejo: Goes deep in loss

Trejo went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 8-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Trejo's fourth-inning blast tied the game at 3-3, but the Rockies' offense stalled out from there. The infielder has gone 4-for-15 over his last seven games while playing in a limited role. He snapped a homer drought of 15 contests dating back to July 16. Trejo hasn't exactly impressed with a .248/.287/.357 slash line, two homers, 19 RBI, 16 runs scored and four stolen bases over 168 plate appearances, but he could push for some playing time at second base with Brendan Rodgers struggling.

  • Jake Alu LF | WAS

Nationals' Jake Alu: Day off Sunday

Alu is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Athletics.

Alu has started nine of the last 12 games, batting .273 with one home run, two steals and a 38.9 percent strikeout rate in 33 at-bats over that stretch. Ildemaro Vargas draws the start at third base, batting sixth.

  • Luis Arraez 2B | SF

Marlins' Luis Arraez: Clubs fourth homer in win

Arraez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's win over the Yankees.

Arraez wasted no time getting the Marlins on the board, cranking a two-run shot to right-center field in the first inning. It was only his fourth home run of the season and his first since June 16 against the Nationals. The second baseman is batting just .222 in August with three RBI and five runs scored while failing to draw a walk over 45 plate appearances.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Extends hitting streak

Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's win over the Blue Jays.

Hoerner extended his hitting streak to five games, and he's batting a robust .400 during the stretch. For the season, the infielder is batting a solid .278, but his biggest contribution has been on the basepaths, where he's 29-for-32 in stolen base attempts.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Dodgers' Amed Rosario: Knocks homer Saturday

Rosario went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Rockies.

Rosario has already popped three homers in 13 games with the Dodgers, batting .262 since he was trade from the Guardians. That matches his homer total from his first 94 contests this year. The infielder is slashing a modest .265/.303/.384 with 51 RBI, 57 runs scored and 10 stolen bases through 455 plate appearances overall.

  • Nicky Lopez 3B | COL

Braves' Nicky Lopez: Makes most of Saturday's start

Lopez went 4-for-6 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and five RBI in a 21-3 rout of the Mets during the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Getting the start at shortstop and batting ninth, Lopez not only socked his first homer of the season in the ninth inning off Danny Mendick, he took the mound himself in the bottom of the frame and walked a batter over a scoreless inning of relief. Lopez's only other action so far for Atlanta since being acquired at the trade deadline was an appearance as a pinch runner Tuesday, so despite this impressive effort, at-bats will likely be few and far between down the stretch for the 28-year-old infielder.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Massive day in twin bill

Albies went 5-for-9 with a walk, two home runs, two stolen bases, four runs scored and eight RBI in Saturday's doubleheader sweep of the Mets.

Atlanta scored 27 runs across both games of the twin bill and Albies was in the thick of the offensive eruption both times, homering and swiping a base in each game while driving in six runs in the matinee alone. The second baseman has hit safely in all 12 games so far in August, batting .364 (20-for-55) with four homers, four steals, 12 runs and 16 RBI to begin the month.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Big day against Jays

Hoerner went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Friday's 6-2 win over the Blue Jays.

He socked his ninth homer of the season in the first inning off Jose Berrios, helping the Cubs grab an early lead they wouldn't relinquish. Hoerner's had an up-and-down campaign, but he's heating up again in August -- over his last 10 games, he's batting .302 (13-for-43) with two solo homers, four steals and 11 runs scored.

  • Jake Alu LF | WAS

Nationals' Jake Alu: Mashes first career homer

Alu went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 8-2 win over the A's.

After bringing home what proved to be the winning run in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly, Alu socked his first career big-league homer in the eighth, a solo shot off Sam Long. Alu has started four straight games at second base for the Nats, but his production at the plate remains inconsistent -- since rejoining the big club at the beginning of August, the 26-year-old is batting .233 (7-for-30) with a 1:13 BB:K.
