Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: On bench in series finale
Frazier is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Even with the Cardinals bringing right-hander Dakota Hudson to the hill in the series finale, the lefty-swinging Frazier will head to the bench for the second time in five games. Manager Clint Hurdle may just have wanted to give Kevin Newman another start in the middle infield with Newman wielding a hot bat over a limited sample of at-bats since returning from the 10-day injured list May 4. Struggling shortstop Cole Tucker would probably be more at risk of losing his everyday gig than Frazier in the event the Pirates decide to make room in the lineup for Newman on a more permanent basis.

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Pops second homer
Frazier went 1-for-4 with a leadoff home run in Friday's 2-1 win over the Cardinals.
The blast was just his second homer of the year. Frazier has been running hot or cold so far -- he was hitting .304 on April 12 before going 10-for-47 (.213) to close out the month, but he's now rebounded with a seven-game hitting streak. The cumulative result is a tepid .258/.321/.367 slash line, but the 27-year-old will retain some deep-league fantasy value as long as he's hitting at the top of the order for the Bucs.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Belts second homer
McNeil went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored Friday against the Marlins.
McNeil extended New York's lead to eight in the third inning with a solo blast to right field, his second long ball of the season. The 27-year-old is slashing .363/.445/.504 with 14 extra-base hits and 14 RBI over 37 contests this season, and he's currently riding a six-game hitting streak.

Amed Rosario SS | NYY
Mets' Amed Rosario: Clubs grand slam
Rosario went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a walk in Friday's victory over the Marlins.
Rosario smashed a homer with the bases loaded in the bottom of the first inning, propelling the Mets to an early 7-0 lead. The 23-year-old shortstop has been heating up at the dish over his last few contests, and he now owns a six-game hitting streak. He's 9-for-25 with four extra-base hits and seven RBI over that stretch.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Late addition to starting nine
Hernandez is starting at second base and batting fifth Friday night against the Nationals, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hernandez was left out of the starting lineup initially but after Corey Seager (undisclosed) was a late scratch, he'll end up drawing a start at the keystone after all.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Sitting Friday night
Hernandez isn't in Friday's starting lineup against the Nationals.
Hernandez has collected just two hits in his last 17 at-bats, so he'll get the night off to regroup. Chris Taylor gets the nod at the keystone and will hit seventh.

Xavier Edwards 2B | MIA
Padres' Xavier Edwards: Continues to hit
Edwards went 3-for-4 with two walks, a stolen base and a run for Low-A Fort Wayne on Thursday, Bill Center of Padres.com reports.
The three-hit day raises Edwards' average to .370 over 100 at-bats for Fort Wayne. He's also flashing impressive plate discipline with a 10:13 K:BB that leaves him with a .440 on-base percentage, which has helped him rack up 11 stolen bases. While he's off to a great start at the dish when it comes to making contact, he has no homers and just 13 extra-base hits in his first 259 professional at-bats.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Making case for promotion
Rodgers is slashing .339/.409/.603 with seven homers and 18 RBI for Triple-A Albuquerque through 121 at-bats.
Rodgers is the most highly rated prospect in the Rockies' system and he's been mashing Triple-A pitching so far this season. The duo of Ryan McMahon and Garrett Hampson has struggled to produce offensively at second base to this point for Colorado, so it could only be a matter of time before the club feels compelled to give the 22-year-old Rodgers a look at the big-league level. If they do, Hampson is a candidate to get optioned back to Albuquerque, as he's slashing just .186/.211/.267 over 86 at-bats.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Situated on bench
Marte is not in the lineup Thursday against the Braves.
Marte has started the past 14 games for Arizona, slashing .269/.406/.635 with five homers, a stolen base and an 11:9 BB:K over that stretch. With the 25-year-old Marte situated on the bench Thursday, Wilmer Flores is starting at the keystone and hitting sixth.

Amed Rosario SS | NYY
Mets' Amed Rosario: Hitting second
Rosario is starting at shortstop and hitting second Wednesday against the Padres.
This marks the third time in four games Rosario is situated in the two hole after primarily hitting in the bottom third of the order for the first month of the season. The move is warranted, as the young shortstop is slashing .280/.317/.417 with a pair of homers and four stolen bases through 33 games.
