Giants' Grant Green: Clears waivers, outrighted to Triple-A
Green has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento.
Green was designated for assignment by the Giants last Thursday as they activated second baseman Joe Panik from the disabled list. The 28-year-old will head back to Triple-A where he owns a .294/.321/.437 line with six home runs and 33 RBI in 238 at-bats.

Tony Renda 2B | BOS
Reds' Tony Renda: Promoted from Triple-A Louisville
Renda was promoted from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.
Renda has played just 23 games with Louisville since being promoted from Double-A Pensacola, but is headed up to the show for the first time in his career. He posted a .280 batting average with Louisville and will likely be used occasionally at second base to give 35-year-old Brandon Phillips extra time off.

Yangervis Solarte 2B | SD
Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Delivers in return to lineup
Solarte went 2-for-5 with a two-run single and a run scored in his return from the Family Leave List during Monday's 6-3 victory over the Padres.
Solarte picked up right where he left off, extending his hitting streak to seven games. The cleanup hitter was the key cog in Milwaukee's five-run fifth inning, driving in two with a single before coming around to score himself on a Ryan Schimpf triple. This has been by far Solarte's best campaign on a per-game basis, as he has played in just 62 games this season, yet is still two-thirds of the way to last year's career-high total of 63 RBI set in 152 games.

Solarte was reinstated from the Family Leave List by the Padres on Monday, Carlos Collazo of MLB.com reports.
Solarte will rejoin the Padres and regain his starting spot at third base. Solarte is having a nice season, hitting .290/.356/.856 in 224 at-bats. Jose Rondon was sent back to Double-A to make room for Solarte.

Dilson Herrera 2B | CIN
Reds' Dilson Herrera: Traded to Reds
The Mets agreed to trade Herrera to the Reds on Monday as part of the package for Jay Bruce, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
Herrera's name was not included in initial reports of the deal, but the Reds and Mets reworked the trade after one of the minors leaguers involved was flagged during the medical review process. Herrera has hit .276/.327/.462 with 13 homers and six steals in 86 games with Triple-A Las Vegas this season, but is limited defensively to second base.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Out of Sunday's lineup
Drury is out of the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers.
Drury has gone just 10-for-46 (.217 average) in 14 appearances since the All-Star break, and could see his at-bats decline with the Diamondbacks activating David Peralta from the DL earlier this weekend. Fortunately, Drury's ability to play some infield won't completely close his pathway to playing regularly, but he may need to show improvement with his hitting in order to remain a mainstay in the lineup.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Activated from DL
Hernandez (ribs) was activated from the DL on Sunday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Hernandez, who's hitting just .189 this season, continued to struggle at the plate on his rehab assignment as he went just 3-for-24 over six games, striking our six times along the way. He'll likely return to his regular duties as a utility player for the Dodgers upon his return.

Gordon Beckham 2B | SEA
Braves' Gordon Beckham: Out of Sunday's lineup
Beckham is out of Sunday's lineup against Philadelphia.
Beckham has struggled at the plate recently, going just 4-for-24 over the last seven days. Jace Peterson will start at second and be hitting leadoff during Beckham's absence.

Danny Espinosa 2B | NYM
Nationals' Danny Espinosa: Not in Friday's lineup
Espinosa is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants, MASN's Dan Kolko reports.
Espinosa will head to the bench after starting 12 straight coming out of the break, affording Wilmer Difo his first start with the big club this season. The 29-year-old Espinosa's been mired in a miserable slump, going 5-for-44 (.114 average) with 18 strikeouts to begin the second half, but his playing time appears relatively safe for now with Trea Turner taking on a significant role in center field.

Grant Green 2B | MIA
Giants' Grant Green: Designated for assignment
Green was designated for assignment Thursday.
With Joe Panik being activated from the DL Thursday, Green was DFA'd in order to make room on the 40-man roster. Green posted a .261/.300/.370 slash line in 18 games since his recall from Triple-A Sacramento on June 30 and will likely head back there unless he gets picked up by another big league club during his waiver period.
