Rivera is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

Rivera will hit the bench after starting in all three games of the Marlins' weekend series in Washington, going 1-for-9 with a double and run scored across those contests. The Nationals brought left-handed starters to the hill for each of those games, so Rivera still looks to be a short-side platoon player for Marlins rather than someone who's pushing for an everyday role.

Riley went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Sunday's loss to the Rays.

The third baseman erupted out of a slump to homer in three straight games against Tampa Bay, racking up six hits and eight RBI in the three-games weekend series. Even with the power surge, Riley has only six home runs and 28 RBI on the season, but he's topped 30 homers and 90 RBI in each of the past three seasons. The 27-year-old is capable of going on a tear that would have him back on his usual pace before the end of June.

Suarez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Though manager Torey Lovullo hinted earlier this week that Blaze Alexander would receive more playing time at third base going forward, Suarez still appears to be the Diamondbacks' preferred option at the hot corner for now. Though Alexander will man third base Sunday, Suarez had started in each of the previous three games and went 3-for-8 with a solo home run and three walks across those contests.

Hayes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Hayes will get some rest for the series finale in Colorado after he had started in each of the Pirates' last five games while going 3-for-21 with a stolen base and a run scored. Jared Triolo will fill in for Hayes at the hot corner.

Solano is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Solano had started each of the last eight games -- with seven coming at third base -- and went 5-for-29 with two home runs, three walks, six RBI and four runs. He should continue to have a regular spot in the lineup versus left-handed pitching, but Solano's opportunities to play against righties will likely become more limited now that Manny Machado is playing third base again after he had been relegated to designated hitter duties recently following his return from a right hip flexor strain.

McMahon went 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 16-4 win over the Pirates.

McMahon doubled in his third trip to the plate and advanced to third on a sacrifice fly before stealing home to increase Colorado's lead to five runs. The third baseman would add an RBI double in the eighth, giving him his sixth extra-base hit over his last four games. McMahon has also recorded multiple hits and scored two runs in three of his last four contests.

Candelario went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Brewers.

Candelario had two of Cincinnati's five hits, including a ninth-inning double that plated the club's lone run. The once-struggling infielder is having himself a June, going 20-for-56 (.357) with six home runs, four doubles and 14 RBI through 13 games.

Riley went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and two walks in Saturday's 9-2 victory against the Rays.

Riley broke the game open in the seventh frame with his three-run shot to center field that gave Atlanta an 8-1 lead. It was the second straight contest with a long ball for the third baseman following a 23-game homerless stretch (and a 45-game span during which he went deep only once). Riley may finally be getting his power on track, but with just five long balls through 233 plate appearances, he'll be hard-pressed to reach 30 homers for the fourth straight season.

Ortiz went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Saturday in a 3-1 win against Cincinnati.

All of Milwaukee's runs in the contest came on Ortiz's fifth-inning homer off Reds starter Andrew Abbott. The long ball was Ortiz's first since May 17 -- a span of 24 games. Power isn't a big part of Ortiz's profile, but he's proven plenty capable with the bat in his first full season in the majors, slashing .281/.381/.472 with six home runs, 27 RBI, 26 runs, four stolen bases and a 28:31 BB:K through 211 plate appearances.

Muncy (oblique) is at least a week away from swinging a bat and doesn't have a timeline for return, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Muncy's recovery from a right oblique strain has been unexpectedly slow, and he doesn't seem particularly close to returning. The 33-year-old hasn't swung a bat in a few weeks and won't be cleared for swings for at least another week. Cavan Biggio and Enrique Hernandez should handle most of the work at third base until Muncy returns.
