  • Padres' Manny Machado: Ejected from Saturday's contest

Machado was ejected from Saturday's 14-8 loss to the Rockies in the fifth inning after arguing balls and strikes.

He was having another big game, going 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored before getting tossed, so this was a minor blow to anyone who had rostered Machado in DFS as part of a Coors Field stack. It's still his third straight multi-hit effort at altitude, and the hot streak has pushed his slash line up to .261/.342/.451 on the year.

  • Austin Riley 3B | ATL

Braves' Austin Riley: Cranks 11th homer

Riley went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Phillies.

After a slow patch to begin June, Riley is heating up again, hitting .368 (7-for-19) over his last five games with a double, a triple, two homers, five RBI and six runs. The rookie now has 26 homers on the season -- 15 for Triple-A Gwinnett prior to his promotion, and 11 in 29 games for Atlanta.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Braves' Josh Donaldson: Goes yard again

Donaldson went 3-for-4 with a double and a three-run home run in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Phillies.

The 33-year-old has hit safely in five straight games and gone yard in three of them, giving Donaldson 11 homers and 31 RBI on the year in 67 contests to go with his .244/.353/.450 slash line. His MVP days are well behind him, but he's still capable of supplying solid offensive numbers from the hot corner.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Receives stitches on left eyelid

Senzel received three or four stitches on his left eyelid after exiting Saturday's game against the Rangers, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Senzel had a foul ball bounce off his foot and hit him on the left eye Saturday, forcing him to leave the game during the middle of the at-bat. The 23-year-old is dealing with some swelling but looks as though he avoided a serious injury. Manager David Bell was unsure whether Senzel would be available for Sunday's series finale.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Mets' J.D. Davis: Pounds out four hits

Davis went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, and three runs scored in an 8-7 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Davis received the starting nod Saturday after coming off the bench the last two games and ended up finishing a triple short of the cycle. The 26-year-old hasn't been the everyday lineup fixture that he once was with the recent emergence of Dominic Smith and the return of Jeff McNeil (hamstring), but he should still at least see occasional starting chances in a utility role.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Leaves Saturday's game

Senzel exited Saturday's game against the Rangers after a foul ball bounced and hit him in the left side of the face, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Senzel was unable to finish the at-bat with Jose Peraza entering as a pinch hitter. The 23-year-old should be considered day-to-day until the specifics of the injury are disclosed.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Back in lineup

Arenado (forearm) is back in the lineup Saturday against San Diego.

Arenado was hit by a pitch in his forearm Wednesday against the Cubs and was pulled from the game. He started Thursday but sat Friday, though he did appear off the bench Friday. He'll play third base and hit cleanup Saturday.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

    Giants' Evan Longoria: Sitting Saturday

Longoria is not starting Saturday against Milwaukee, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Longoria is hitting a solid .308/.333/.436 this month. He'll sit in favor of Pablo Sandoval for Saturday's contest.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Braves' Josh Donaldson: Clubs 10th homer

Donaldson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-8 win over the Phillies.

The veteran third baseman can still punish a mistake, but that's about all Donaldson has been doing lately. He's slashing .140/.222/.333 over his last 15 games with three of his 10 homers on the year, but with Ender Inciarte (back) still out indefinitely and Austin Riley needed in the outfield, Donaldson with continue getting every chance to figure things out at the plate.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Swats sixth homer

Senzel went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-1 loss to the Rangers.

His eighth-inning shot off Drew Smyly ruined a combined shutout for Texas, but it was the only offensive bright spot on the night for Cincy. Senzel has gone yard in back-to-back games, giving him six homers on the year to go with his .272/.331/.490 slash line over 36 contests.
