The Phillies recalled Maton from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

The infielder hit .265 with 13 RBI in 113 at-bats before being optioned July 2. Maton was one of the reinforcements recalled for Sunday's series finale in Boston after four players were placed on the COVID-19 injured list.

Ramirez is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

There's been no indication that it's anything but a regular day off for Ramirez, who will be heading to Denver for the All-Star Game onTuesday. The 28-year-old homered in a 2-for-4, three-run performance Saturday, snapping out of a four-game hitless streak and improving his average to .208 in seven July contests. Ernie Clement is playing third base and batting ninth in Sunday's series finale.

Muncy went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Saturday in the Dodgers' 22-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Muncy did all his damage in four innings before manager Dave Roberts subbed him out of the contest while the Dodgers held a comfortable 9-0 lead. Since slugging four home runs in a five-game stretch between June 25 and July 1, Muncy has failed to leave the yard, but he's still maintained a solid .743 OPS over the past week and a half while striking out only three times in nine contests.

Farmer is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Farmer is hitting .250 in seven games since the start of July, though he's gone hitless in five of those contests. Even so, he's tallied a pair of home runs and scored an additional three runs this month. Mike Freeman will get another start at shortstop in Sunday's series finale.

Baty will be promoted to Double-A Binghamton after participating in the Futures Game on Sunday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Baty has found success at the plate this season with High-A Brooklyn, slashing .309//397/.514 across 209 plate appearances. Baty will now join Binghamton, where he's likely to finish his campaign. If the infielder continues to progress as expected, he could become a candidate to be called up to the majors as soon as 2022.

Toro went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Yankees.

The third baseman was one of three Astros to get a hit off Yankees starter Gerrit Cole. Toro also notched his second steal of the year, but he was left on base. His hit snapped an 0-for-10 skid at the plate. The 24-year-old is slashing just .225/.292/.338 with three home runs, 15 RBI and 12 runs scored across 89 plate appearances. He'll likely continue to see most of the starts as a fill-in for Alex Bregman (quadriceps) at the hot corner.

McMahon will rest Saturday against the Padres, Daniel Guerrero of MLB.com reports.

McMahon sits for the first time thus far in July, a month in which he's hit .345/.441/.414 in eight games. Joshua Fuentes starts at third base in his absence.

Bregman (quadriceps) said he expects to begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land in mid-July, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Bregman is aiming to play for the Skeeters during their trip to Albuquerque, which runs from July 15-20. Thus, an activation near the end of the month remains realistic for Bregman, who's been sidelined by a left quadriceps strain since June 17.

Newman will sit for the first half of Saturday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Newman has done very little at the plate this season, hitting just .206/.249/.268. Cole Tucker takes over at shortstop in his absence, though Newman will likely return to the lineup for the nightcap.

Moncada still has some soreness in his right hand and is the designated hitter Saturday against Baltimore, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The 26-year-old went 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs in Friday's contest. The All-Star break figures to be beneficial for Moncada as his hand continues to recover. Gavin Sheets will start at third base Saturday.
