  • Sean Murphy C | ATL

Braves' Sean Murphy: Homers twice in win

Murphy went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs and a walk in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Rays.

Murphy got Atlanta on the board with a solo home run in the seventh inning and then tied things up with another blast in the eighth. Since making his season debut Tuesday, the 30-year-old has gone 5-for-15 with three long balls, six RBI and four runs scored across 18 plate appearances. It's a small sample, but early signs point to a potential bounce-back campaign if he can remain healthy.

  • Orioles' Adley Rutschman: Hits first homer since Opening Day

Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays.

Entering Saturday's game, Rutschman had failed to log a home run since hitting two of them on Opening Day. He ended his drought in the sixth inning, when he took Bowden Francis deep to right-center field for a 426-foot solo homer to make it a 3-3 game. Rutschman has started the season slashing .265/.357/.469 with seven walks, nine runs scored, three home runs and five RBI across 56 plate appearances.

Pirates' Joey Bart: Not starting Saturday

Bart (back) is not in the Pirates' starting lineup against the Reds on Saturday.

Bart exited Friday's game against Cincinnati due to lower-back discomfort, and he'll remain sidelined for Saturday's contest. Henry Davis, who was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday, will serve behind home plate and bat ninth against Reds southpaw Andrew Abbott.

  • Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Sitting Saturday

Goodman is not in the Rockies' starting lineup against the Padres on Saturday.

Padres' Elias Diaz: On bench Saturday

Diaz is not in the Padres' starting lineup against the Rockies on Saturday.

  • Ivan Herrera DH | STL

Cardinals' Ivan Herrera: Going through some workouts

Herrera (knee) feels more comfortable getting around and has been going through some workouts, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

He has not, however, been cleared to begin baseball activities as he works his way back from a left knee bone bruise. Herrera is just under a week into an absence that's expected to last at least four weeks. Pedro Pages will continue to operate as the Cardinals' primary catcher while Herrera is sidelined.

  • Danny Jansen C | TEX

Rays' Danny Jansen: Missing from Saturday's lineup

Jansen isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

The Rays will give Jansen a breather Saturday after he went 3-for-4 with a home run and four total RBI in Friday's victory. While he rests, Ben Rortvedt will start behind the plate and bat ninth.

  • Matt Thaiss C | BOS

White Sox's Matt Thaiss: Sitting Saturday

Thaiss isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus Boston.

Thaiss will step aside Saturday to allow Omar Narvaez to get a second consecutive start behind the dish following Narvaez's three-RBI performance Friday. Thaiss owns a .737 OPS through 10 games this season and still figures to be Chicago's primary backstop.
