Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Set to be activated Monday
Stanton (hamstring) remains on track to be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Stanton has missed a month of action while recovering from a left hamstring strain, but he appears to be set to make his return to the major-league roster Monday in Philadelphia. The 34-year-old will skip a rehab assignment, and he'll attempt to pick up where he left off with the Yankees, having produced a 10-game hitting streak prior to going down with the injury.

Tigers' Justyn-Henry Malloy: Not starting Sunday
Malloy is absent from the Tigers' starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Twins, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Malloy will take a seat Sunday after going 1-for-9 with five strikeouts over the first two games of the series. Mark Canha will serve as the designated hitter and bat in the cleanup spot against Twins right-hander Bailey Ober.

Trevor Larnach LF | MIN
Twins' Trevor Larnach: Sitting against southpaw
Larnach is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Detroit, per MLB.com.
Larnach went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-3 win over the Tigers. With Detroit sending left-hander Tarik Skubal to the mound Saturday, the lefty-hitting Larnach will cede left field to Austin Martin.

Mitch Garver DH | SEA
Mariners' Mitch Garver: On base five times in rout
Garver went 3-for-3 with two walks, a double, a run scored and an RBI in Friday's 10-0 win over the White Sox.
Making his first start at catcher since July 20, Garver had a perfect day at the plate and did pretty well behind it too, guiding George Kirby and the Seattle bullpen to a combined shutout. Garver had been stuck in a 2-for-29 slump in his last eight games heading into Friday, but he remains the only backup option to Cal Raleigh and is part of the mix at designated hitter despite a career-low .649 OPS on the season. Once Randy Arozarena joins the team and Julio Rodriguez (ankle) is back in action, however, there will be greater competition for those DH at-bats.

Masataka Yoshida LF | BOS
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Key hit in win
Yoshida went 1-for-3 with a walk, three RBI and a run scored in Friday's 9-7 win over the Yankees.
Yoshida had the decisive blow in a wild game at Fenway Park. His eighth-inning, two-run single broke a 7-7 tie. He earlier produced a run on a sacrifice fly and scored on Ceddanne Rafaela's two-run homer in the seventh. Yoshida is batting .267/.344/.372 with four home runs, 28 RBI and 21 runs over 55 games this season.

Tigers' Bligh Madris: Productive again Friday
Madris went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 9-3 loss to the Twins.
A day after collecting three hits, Madris had two more and recorded his first RBI at the MLB level since 2022. The 28-year-old is likely still just a depth option for the Tigers at best, but he could carve out a more consistent role in the short term if he continues to produce at the plate.

Trevor Larnach LF | MIN
Twins' Trevor Larnach: Smacks 11th homer
Larnach went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Friday's 9-3 win over the Tigers.
Larnach went back-to-back with Byron Buxton in the first inning, the seventh time the Twins have hit consecutive homers this season. Larnach has three home runs in his last 11 games, but the 27-year-old is strictly a platoon player, as he only has eight at-bats against lefties this season. He's been solid in his role however, with 11 homers and a .770 OPS against right-handers.

He hasn't been sent on a rehab assignment, but the 34-year-old slugger still appears poised to join the Yankees following a weekend series against the Red Sox. Stanton was slashing .304/.377/.551 with five home runs and 16 RBI in June before going on the IL.
