  • Brandon Belt DH | TOR

Giants' Brandon Belt: Concussion not improving

Belt (concussion) is not improving and will be examined Wednesday, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

He was transferred from the 7-day DL to the 10-day DL on Tuesday, and it sounds like he should be considered out indefinitely. This is very concerning, given Belt's history of head injuries, and from a fantasy standpoint, it's hard to count on him at all over the rest of the season. Ryder Jones and Buster Posey will continue to see starts at first base going forward.

  • Pirates' Andrew McCutchen: Will take field Tuesday

McCutchen will bat third and start in center field Tuesday for the time since injuring his knee Friday.

McCutchen went 1-for-3 as the Pirates' designated hitter Sunday in Toronto and said he could've played in the outfield. He's slashing .307/.368/.591 for his career at Miller Park and has hit more homers in Milwaukee (19) than any park aside from PNC Park. He's 4-for-10 with a home run and five RBI against Tuesday starter, Zach Davies.

Giants' Brandon Belt: Shifts to 10-day DL

Belt was transferred Monday from the 7-day disabled list to the 10-day disabled list, MLB.com reports.

The transaction is only a procedural move, as Belt had already missed more than a full week of action with the concussion. Belt has an extensive history of head injuries, so he'll remain away from the team for the time being and wait for the concussion symptoms to subside before starting up baseball activities again. In the meantime, Ryder Jones and Buster Posey will pick up the bulk of the starts at first base.

  • Mets' Yoenis Cespedes: Homers again Monday

Cespedes went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Yankees.

Sunday's off day didn't cool down Cespedes' bat, as he's now homered in three straight games and five times in his last 10 starts. Injuries have limited the 31-year-old to a disappointing 15 home runs in 70 games on the season, but he's more than capable of a big finish to 2017.

  • Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT

Marlins' Marcell Ozuna: Homers in win over Giants

Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored during Monday's win over San Francisco.

This was just the fourth home run in the second half for Ozuna, so it was a welcomed blast for fantasy gamers and the Marlins. Even with a little dip in his power output, he sports an impressive .303/.363/.545 slash line with 27 homers, 89 RBI and 66 runs for the campaign. Ozuna remains a high-end asset in all settings, and an uptick in production down the fantasy stretch isn't out of the question.

  • Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton: Homers again Monday

Stanton went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and three RBI during Monday's win over San Francisco.

Stanton has now left the yard in five consecutive games and has 10 homers, 17 RBI and 13 runs over his past 11 outings, setting the Marlins' single-season home run record in the process. The power outburst has him running away with the league lead in that category with 43, and he's also up to an impressive .283/.374/.640 slash line for the campaign.

  • Brandon Belt DH | TOR

Giants' Brandon Belt: Remains at home

Belt (concussion) is still resting at home, Andrew Baggarly of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Belt has already spent the minimum seven days on the disabled list, so he can return once cleared. The 29-year-old still has no timetable for his return, and you can expect some additional caution with Belt's concussion history and the Giants not in the playoff picture.

  • Jesse Winker DH | NYM

Reds' Jesse Winker: Sits against southpaw Monday

Winker is not in the lineup Monday against the Cubs.

As per usual, Winker will head to the bench with the opposition sending out a southpaw starter (Jose Quintana). He's now started 11 of the last 14 games, with all three of his off days coming against left-handed pitchers. Patrick Kivlehan will start in right field in his stead.

  • Justin Turner DH | CHC

Dodgers' Justin Turner: Homers twice again Sunday

Turner led the charge for the Dodgers' offense on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in a 6-4 win over San Diego.

The 32-year-old went deep twice in the same game for the second time this week, bringing his season total up to 17. After a slow start to the season in terms of power, it appeared that Turner wouldn't be able to match the career-high of 27 homers he set last year, but a strong second half has resurrected fantasy owners' hopes of a repeat in that department. His impressive .346/.436/.573 triple slash is proving that 2016's breakout was no fluke.

  • Pirates' Andrew McCutchen: Serves as DH on Sunday

McCutchen (knee) is hitting third as the Pirates designated hitter during Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

McCutchen exited Friday's game with a minor knee injury but is set to rejoin the starting lineup after getting the day off Saturday. The Pirates have a scheduled off-day Monday, so it's possible that the veteran could return to the outfield when the team kicks off its two-game set against the Brewers on Monday.
