Andrew McCutchen DH | PIT
Pirates' Andrew McCutchen: Knocks four hits
McCutchen went 4-for-4 with a solo homer in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers
McCutchen drilled a solo shot in the first inning for his third home run of the season. He added three more base hits throughout the contest, but it didn't do much good as the Pirates lost 9-2. McCutchen had just one multi-hit performance over his previous 15 games, going 9-for-49 (.184) during that span. He's now slashing .276/.368/.447 through 87 plate appearances.

Jesse Winker DH | NYM
Mets' Jesse Winker: Sitting versus southpaw
Winker is not in the Mets' starting lineup against the Nationals on Sunday.
Winker will begin Sunday's game in the dugout while the Nationals send southpaw Mitchell Parker to the mound. Starling Marte will serve as the Mets' designated hitter and bat fifth. Winker has gone 4-for-14 with one walk, two runs scored and a solo homer over his last five games.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Opens scoring with homer
Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 8-7 extra-inning win over Arizona.
Ozuna took Merrill Kelly deep in the first inning. This was Ozuna's fifth homer of the season, and he also drew a walk for a sixth straight game. He has nine free passes and just three strikeouts in that six-game span while batting .375 (6-for-16). The designated hitter is batting .311 with a 1.031 OPS, 10 RBI, 14 runs scored and two doubles across 100 plate appearances so far in 2025, as he's been the most consistent producer of a largely underwhelming Atlanta lineup.

Seiya Suzuki RF | CHC
Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Knocks in three runs Saturday
Suzuki went 2-for-4 with three RBI in Saturday's 10-4 loss to the Phillies.
Suzuki put the Cubs on the board in the fifth inning on a two-run single, and he brought home another run in the seventh frame on a single to center field. Suzuki has logged two hits in each of his last three starts, and his 23 RBI on the season is tied for fourth most in the National League.

Jorge Barrosa CF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jorge Barrosa: Starts against lefty
Barrosa started in center field and went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 8-2 loss to Atlanta.
Barrosa made his first start (second appearance) since being called up from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday. While primary center fielder Alek Thomas has hit well to start the season, including a small-sample 3-for-9 against lefties, the Diamondbacks remain reticent to use him against southpaws. The switch-hitting Barrosa will serve as the right-handed complement in center field. He had an .857 OPS over 105 plate appearances at Reno prior to his call-up.

Spencer Steer 1B | CIN
Reds' Spencer Steer: Cracks two-run shot
Steer went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 8-7 win over the Rockies.
Steer gave the Reds a 4-1 lead in the third inning, when he took Kyle Freeland deep to left field for a two-run homer. It was Steer's second home run of the season, and over his last four games he's gone 5-for-17 with two walks, six runs and four RBI.

Pavin Smith RF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Pavin Smith: Getting breather against LHP
Smith isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Atlanta, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.
The lefty-hitting Smith will stay put in the D-backs' dugout while left-hander Chris Sale toes the slab for Atlanta. Randal Grichuk will enter the lineup as Arizona's DH and bat third.

Alec Burleson LF | STL
Cardinals' Alec Burleson: Taking seat Friday
Burleson is not in the lineup for Friday's contest against the Brewers.
The Cardinals plan to give Nolan Gorman -- who is at designated hitter Friday -- a run of playing time, and it could come mostly at the expense of Burleson. The 26-year-old Burleson is hitting .276 on the young season but has yet to homer.

Seiya Suzuki RF | CHC
Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Back in action Friday
Suzuki (wrist) is batting third as the designated hitter Friday against the Phillies.
Suzuki was scratched from Wednesday's starting nine due to a recurrence of a wrist issue, though he's good to go following Thursday's team off day. The 30-year-old has cooled off a bit lately with a .208 batting average (5-for-24) in his past six contests, but it's been a productive start to the campaign overall with six homers, 20 RBI, 14 runs and a .276/.354/.540 slash line in 99 plate appearances.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Getting day off
Flores is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Brewers, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
It's a routine day off for Flores, who has clubbed seven home runs and driven in a major-league-leading 27 runs this season. Heliot Ramos is getting a start at designated hitter Thursday, while Luis Matos is in left field and batting ninth.
