Chris Devenski RP | NYM
Astros' Chris Devenski: Will start Wednesday
Devenski will start Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
The Astros will employ a "bullpen day" in the series finale with Devenski leading the charge. The 27-year-old has made only four appearances since coming off the disabled list Aug. 29 and should be limited to an inning or two.

Hunter Harvey RP | CHC
Orioles' Hunter Harvey: No new elbow issues discovered
Harvey is not dealing with any new elbow issues, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Harvey experienced elbow soreness while throwing in the instructional league last week, but a visit to team doctors Monday revealed no structural damage. The soreness is related to the same elbow tendinitis which has bothered him since late August. Harvey is battling that issue in addition to a dislocated shoulder which shut him down in early June.

Jimmy Yacabonis RP | NYM
Orioles' Jimmy Yacabonis: Start postponed
Yacabonis won't make his scheduled start against the Red Sox as Tuesday's game was postponed due to weather, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
The game is scheduled to be made up as part of a doubleheader Wednesday. Yacabonis will likely start one half of the twin bill, though the Orioles have yet to confirm their pitching plans following the schedule change. The right-hander owns a 6.00 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB across five starts this season.

Chris Lee RP | BAL
Orioles' Chris Lee: Back with Baltimore on minors deal
Lee signed a minor-league contract with the Orioles on Tuesday, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Lee will stick in Baltimore's system after being cast off the team's 40-man roster earlier in the season. The 26-year-old lefty owns a 5.58 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 91:64 K:BB through 127.1 with Triple-A Norfolk over the past two seasons. He figures to report back to Triple-A to begin the 2019 campaign.

Aroldis Chapman RP | BOS
Yankees' Aroldis Chapman: Throws scoreless seventh inning
Chapman earned his first hold of the season, issuing one walk while striking out two in a scoreless seventh inning Monday against the Rays.
Chapman was rocked for three runs in his return from the disabled list Sept. 22 but has since settled in with a pair of scoreless appearances, both coming in the seventh inning. After his frame Monday, Dellin Betances pitched the eighth before Zach Britton closed it out for his seventh save. Manager Aaron Boone may be inclined to keep Chapman in the middle innings this week as he tries to get Chapman back up to speed after a month-long absence due to a knee injury. It seems likely that Chapman will be back in the closer role come the postseason.

Jimmy Yacabonis RP | NYM
Orioles' Jimmy Yacabonis: Getting another start
Yacabonis will draw another start Tuesday against the Red Sox, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.
After serving in a long-relief role following his promotion from Triple-A Norfolk on Sept. 3, Yacabonis was thrust into the rotation last Wednesday against the Blue Jays with Luis Ortiz (hamstring) and Andrew Cashner (knee) both unavailable. It appears that the two injured pitchers have been shut down for the season, so Yacabonis will tentatively line up for two more starts in the final week of the campaign, with his second outing expected to come in the finale Sunday against Houston. Yacabonis blanked Toronto over four innings his last time out and should be cleared to work deeper into Tuesday's start if he's economical with his pitch count.

Hector Santiago RP | SEA
White Sox's Hector Santiago: Expected to start Wednesday
Santiago is tentatively scheduled to start Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Manager Rick Renteria has held off on announcing a starter -- he was presumably waiting to see how his bullpen got used Monday. Santiago pitched in the ninth inning Monday, using just four pitches to get two outs.

Dylan Covey RP | ATL
White Sox's Dylan Covey: Six scoreless innings in no-decision
Covey tossed six scoreless innings Monday in a no-decision against the Indians, allowing six hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.
Covey matched opposing starter Corey Kluber through six innings, scattering baserunners and making timely pitches to keep the visitors off the board. He induced eight groundball outs and matched his second-highest strikeout total of the season. Covey has been outstanding over his last two appearances, tossing 12 scoreless innings while striking out 12 and delivering a pair of quality starts. He still owns a disappointing 5.06 ERA for the season, but he'll look to finish on a high note this weekend against the Twins.

Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY
Rays' Ryan Yarbrough: Takes loss against Yankees
Yarbrough (15-6) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks across five innings Monday to take the loss against the Yankees. He struck out three.
Yarbrough entered in the fourth inning and got into trouble in the fifth, allowing two runs on two hits, a walk and a passed ball. He settled down after that, though an RBI double from Aaron Judge widened the gap in the seventh and the Yanks' bullpen closed it out from there. Yarbrough has fallen on hard times of late, allowing 10 earned runs across 14.2 innings over his last four appearances. He could see one more extended outing before the end of the regular season.

Daniel Mengden RP | KC
Athletics' Daniel Mengden: No-decision Monday
Mengden allowed three earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out five across 5.1 innings Monday against the Mariners. He did not factor into the decision.
He has pitched primarily as the long-man in bullpen games for the Athletics of late, though he earned the start on Monday. It remains to be seen how he'll be used in the final series of the season, but could start Sunday against the Angels in the final game of the regular season. He now carries a 4.05 ERA and 1.12 WHIP across 115.2 innings.
