Reynaldo Lopez RP | ATL
White Sox's Reynaldo Lopez: Tabbed for Monday's start
Manager Rick Renteria said that Lopez will take the hill Monday against the Athletics, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Lopez was originally scheduled for Sunday's contest, but he'll be pushed back a day due to the early postponement of the game. He lines up to face right-hander Daniel Mengden in what will likely be a two-start week for Lopez.

White Sox's Reynaldo Lopez: Sunday start postponed
Lopez will not pitch as scheduled Sunday against the Twins as the game has already been cancelled due to inclement weather.
Lopez was originally scheduled to start Friday, but that game was postponed. His start was moved to Sunday, but that game has also been postponed. With three cancelled games in a row, Chicago's plan for their starters is not yet clear. Lopez could start the team's next game Monday in Oakland, though Opening Day starter James Shields will be able to throw on four days' rest that day, while Lucas Giolito will be able to throw on full rest Tuesday.

Casey Lawrence RP | SEA
Mariners' Casey Lawrence: Optioned to Triple-A
Lawrence was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.
He gave up five earned runs in 1.2 innings in his most recent outing, which likely sealed his fate for when Nelson Cruz came off the DL and the Mariners needed to clear a spot on the 25-man roster. Lawrence will provide organizational depth going forward.

Liam Hendriks RP | CHC
Athletics' Liam Hendriks: Lands on DL with groin strain
Hendricks (groin strain) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday, Julian McWilliams of The Athletic Bay Area reports.
He strained his right groin Friday, so this move was inevitable. Ryan Dull came off the DL in a corresponding move and will take Hendricks' place in the big-league bullpen. Hendricks gave up three runs with one strikeout in three innings this season prior to the injury

Drew Pomeranz RP | CHC
Red Sox's Drew Pomeranz: Joining rotation next week
Pomeranz (forearm) will join the big-league rotation at some point next week, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
He logged 5.1 innings in a rehab start Friday, so if he returns on normal rest he would start Wednesday on the road against the Angels, though the exact return date has not yet been confirmed. Hopefully that news comes down before weekly lineups lock, but in the event that it does not, it still sounds like he can be deployed next week.

White Sox's Reynaldo Lopez: Named Sunday's starter
Updating earlier reports, Lopez is now scheduled to start Sunday's game in Minnesota.
With rainouts on both Friday and Saturday, the White Sox rotation is a bit of a fluid mess, but Lopez at least is in line to make a start this weekend, with Miguel Gonzalez and his 8.68 ERA likely getting skipped. If the weather in Minneapolis cooperates, Lopez will face Lance Lynn on Sunday.

Danny Coulombe RP | BOS
Athletics' Daniel Coulombe: Takes first loss Friday
Coulombe (0-1) was charged with an earned run on a hit and a walk over one-third of an inning in a 7-4 loss to the Mariners on Friday.
Coulombe only faced one batter -- Robinson Cano -- who he walked on six pitches. Chris Hatcher subsequently came in and promptly allowed a three-run homer to Mitch Haniger, with Cano one of the runs that crossed the plate. Coulombe has now sandwiched two one-run outings around a pair of scoreless frames versus the Dodgers last Tuesday.

White Sox's Reynaldo Lopez: Rotation turned skipped
Lopez, whose start Friday night was postponed due to inclement weather, will have his turn in the rotation skipped, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
The White Sox also had Saturday's game postponed due to snow, muddying the rotation heading into Sunday's series finale. The one thing that's definite is Lopez being skipped this turn while presumably remaining on schedule to start Wednesday in Oakland.

Alex Colome RP | CHW
Rays' Alex Colome: Takes second loss Friday
Colome (0-2) allowed one earned run on two hits in the ninth inning of a 2-1 loss to the Phillies on Friday. He also racked up three strikeouts.
The increasingly embattled closer failed to get the job done again, allowing a one-out double to Scott Kingery that would prove costly. Colome set down Aaron Altherr on a strikeout before Jorge Alfaro knocked in Kingery with a well-placed single between third and short. The fact Colome has blown two saves and also has two losses on his ledger isn't shaking his boss's faith in him -- at least not publicly -- Bill Chastain of MLB.com reports. "I actually thought he threw the ball better today," Rays manager Kevin Cash said. "I thought he threw his fastball up in the zone a little bit more. Just established the fastball to get some chase. Kingery hits the double and Alfaro finds a hole there between [Adeiny Hechavarria] and [Matt Duffy]. All in all, I like the way he's attacking in the zone. He just gave it up."

Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Mariners' Edwin Diaz: Grabs fifth save Friday
Diaz walked one and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to collect his fifth save of the season in a 7-4 win over the A's.
The free pass was the first baserunner Diaz had allowed this season, and the right-hander sports a dominant 13:1 K:BB through six innings. If he can keep the walks under control -- something that isn't guaranteed after he posted a 4.4 BB/9 last year -- the 24-year-old could emerge as one of the elite closing options in the league.
