Infante was sent to Triple-A Charlotte following Wednesday's game against the Rays.
Infante had appeared in six games with the White Sox up to this point, allowing eight earned runs in just 4.1 innings of relief. He was a reliable option out of the bullpen for Chicago last season, posting a 3.13 ERA and 1.19 WHIP over 54.2 innings, and will look to right the ship at the Triple-A level. The club didn't immediately announce a corresponding move.

Danny Coulombe RP | BOS
Athletics' Daniel Coulombe: Fires two perfect frames
Coulombe struck out three over two perfect frames in a 4-0 loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.
The lefty bounced back from the only outing in which he's given up a run, working a season-high two innings. Coulombe has notched multiple strikeouts in two of his last three appearances, and he's seen a significant workload thus far in April. Factoring in Tuesday's appearance, the 28-year-old logged five appearances over the first 10 days of the month, pitching at least one inning in four of those outings.
-
Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Mariners' Edwin Diaz: Strikes out side Tuesday
Diaz struck out the side on 13 pitches in the ninth inning of an 8-3 win over the Royals on Tuesday.
The hard-throwing right-hander needed some work after having last having pitched April 3, so manager Scott Servais deployed him in the low-leverage scenario. Diaz quickly mowed down Paulo Orlando, Alcides Escobar and Abraham Almonte on swinging strikeouts over his one frame, an extension of what has been a spectacular start to his season. Diaz has been nothing short of dominant thus far in 2018, firing four perfect innings in which he's racked up an 11:0 K:BB and successfully converted all three save opportunities.

Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: Bounces back with scoreless outing
Andriese fired a scoreless eighth inning in a 6-5 win over the White Sox on Tuesday, allowing a hit and recording a strikeout.
After allowing six earned runs over the 2.2 innings encompassing his prior two appearances, Andriese was able to settle things down over his one frame Tuesday. -
Brian Johnson RP | BOS
Red Sox's Brian Johnson: Throws two innings Tuesday
Johnson pitched two scoreless innings of relief in Tuesday's 14-1 win over the Yankees. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two.
After one start while a member of the rotation, Johnson has moved to the bullpen, but could get one more start Saturday, the next time Boston needs a fifth starter. The Red Sox decided to delay Drew Pomeranz's return from a forearm injury for at least one more start. Johnson and Hector Velazquez are the candidates for the start.
-
Collin McHugh RP | ATL
Astros' Collin McHugh: Fans five Tuesday
McHugh allowed a hit and a walk while striking out five in two innings of relief in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Twins.
Starter Dallas Keuchel expended 101 pitches before leaving after four innings, necessitating some length out of the bullpen. That's the ideal spot for McHugh, the starter turned reliever. With Houston's offense, which ranks seventh in runs scored per game over the final four innings, that could lead to some stolen wins for a long man like McHugh. The 31-year-old right-hander has three multi-inning appearances and has struck out 10 over 6.2 innings.

Sean Manaea SP | NYM
Athletics' Sean Manaea: Logs another strong outing
Manaea (1-2) got the loss Tuesday, giving up two earned runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking one in Oakland's 4-0 defeat to the Dodgers.
He didn't get rewarded with the win for the effort but it was nonetheless a third straight solid start from the 26-year-old left-hander to begin the season, as Manaea is now the owner of a 1.74 ERA and a sparkling 0.77 WHIP through 22.2 innings. His ratios aren't likely to stay that ridiculous all year (he'd be a Cy Young candidate if they did) but he certainly has the look of a pitcher who has taken a step forward. He'll look keep the hot start rolling in his next outing against the White Sox on April 16.
