Eduardo Paredes RP | DET
Angels' Eduardo Paredes: Headed to big club
The Angels recalled Paredes from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
With the Angels bullpen taxed after covering seven innings in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Athletics following an abbreviated start from JC Ramirez (forearm), Paredes and Felix Pena were summoned from the minors to provide a pair of fresh relief arms. Paredes made 18 appearances for the big club in 2017, compiling a 4.43 ERA and 1.21 WHIP while striking out 17 batters in 22.1 innings.

Akeel Morris RP | SF
Angels' Akeel Morris: Sent to Triple-A
The Angels optioned Morris to Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Morris was unlikely to be available for at least the next couple of days after covering 2.1 innings in long relief during a Saturday loss to the Athletics, so the Angels decided to ship him back to the minors in order to make room for some fresh arms out of the bullpen. With the Angels also moving JC Ramirez (forearm) to the 10-day disabled list, Eduardo Paredes and Felix Pena were promoted from Salt Lake to fortify the relief ranks.

Emilio Pagan RP | CIN
Athletics' Emilio Pagan: Works as effective bridge to closer in win
Pagan earned his second hold Saturday in the Athletics' 7-3 win over the Angels, firing a scoreless two-thirds of an inning and recording a strikeout.
Pagan took over with one out in the seventh after Ryan Buchter allowed a solo home run to Luis Valbuena that brought the Angels within 4-3. The right-hander quickly disposed of Jefry Marte and Rene Rivera to prevent further damage and set the stage for Blake Treinen's two-inning save. Pagan appears to be settling into a groove, now having generated four straight scoreless efforts after giving up an earned run apiece in each of his first two appearances of the season.

Jimmy Yacabonis RP | NYM
Orioles' Jimmy Yacabonis: Headed to minors
The Orioles optioned Yacabonis to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.
Yacabonis' stay with the big club lasted all of one day, with the right-hander's demotion coming after he surrendered three runs on two hits and two walks over an inning of relief in Saturday's loss to the Yankees. According to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports, the Orioles intend to transition Yacabonis into a rotation role as he heads back to Norfolk, which could put him on the short list for a promotion when the big club requires a spot starter down the road.
-
Tanner Scott RP | LAD
Orioles' Tanner Scott: Recalled from minors
Scott was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.
Scott will provide a fresh arm in the bullpen for Sunday's series finale against the Yankees after Jimmy Yacabonis was touched up for three runs in his lone inning of relief Saturday before getting sent back to Norfolk. Look for the left-handed Scott to work in long relief during his stint with the big club and see most of his opportunities in lower-leverage spots.

Austin Pruitt RP | TEX
Rays' Austin Pruitt: Stellar in long relief Saturday
Pruitt fired 4.1 scoreless innings Saturday in the Rays' 10-3 loss to the Red Sox, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out two.
He chewed up precious innings after starter Jacob Faria flamed out by allowing eight earned runs on five hits and five walks over 1.2 innings. The outing was a nice bounceback for Pruitt, who hadn't exactly been stellar himself while surrendering six runs over 2.1 innings in his last outing Tuesday against the Yankees. Factoring in his Saturday effort, Pruitt has now sandwiched 6.1 scoreless frames around the aforementioned clunker against New York over his first three appearances of the season.

Chris Devenski RP | NYM
Astros' Chris Devenski: Changing usage
Devenksi (1-0) struck out two over 1.1 scoreless innings in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Padres in 10 innings.
Devenski has allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out five over 3.2 innings spanning four appearances. He's still called on at any time of the game -- he's pitched in the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and extra innings so far -- but Saturday's outing was the first time this season that he's pitched multiple innings, a stark contrast to how he was used in 2017. Last year after four appearances, Devenski had tossed 11 innings. He was a unique weapon, but that first-half usage made him less effective over the second half. Manager A.J. Hinch will strive to find the right balance in 2018.

Blake Treinen RP | LAD
Athletics' Blake Treinen: Collects two-inning save Saturday
Treinen tossed a pair of scoreless innings Saturday against the Angels en route to his second save of the season. He struck out four.
The veteran was called upon to face the meat of the order in the eighth inning and emerged unscathed. An extra run of insurance prompted the Athletics to leave him out for the ninth, and he managed to escape the inning despite putting a pair of runners on base. Treinen has yet to allow an earned run this year and holds a 7:2 K:BB in six innings of work, though his 1.50 WHIP is a bit troubling.

Daniel Norris RP | CLE
Tigers' Daniel Norris: WIll stay in majors
Warwick Saupold, not Norris, was optioned to Triple-A Toledo to make room for Mike Fiers to return to the roster Sunday, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
It was thought that Norris would get sent down to make room for Fiers, but the young lefty looked good in 3.1 innings of relief Thursday, so he'll stick around for now. The return of Fiers will put Norris in the bullpen, though he could carve out a role as a valuable long reliever and possibly supplant Fiers at some point if the veteran struggles. The Tigers may also decide to send Norris down at a later date to get him more work as a starter. Until Norris is making starts at the MLB level, his fantasy value will remain limited.

Andrew Kittredge RP | BAL
Rays' Andrew Kittredge: Will start Sunday
Kittredge will start Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
It will be Kittredge's second start of the season as the Rays employ a bullpen-day Sunday. The 28-year-old tossed 3.1 innings in his first start and has allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits over 5.2 innings for the season. Kittredge should continue to see consistent opportunities as a long reliever and occasional bullpen-day "starter" for the Rays.
