  • Michael Fulmer RP | NYY

Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Continues dominance on the mound

Fulmer extended his scoreless streak to 28.1 innings Sunday with a dominant six innings in a 4-1 win over the Yankees. He gave up two hits, struck out three and walked three.

He left the game with a sparkling 2.52 ERA. Fulmer has won five straight games and six overall, and has given up just one run and 13 hits in 34.1 innings in those five starts. Prior to this season, Fulmer had never pitched above Double-A.

  • Athletics' Kendall Graveman: Escapes serious damage Sunday

Graveman (2-6) came away with a no-decision Sunday, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks over four-plus innings while striking out five in a 6-1 win over the Reds.

He got hit hard and received a quick hook after Joey Votto led off the fifth with a single, but the Reds weren't able to put together the one big rally they needed. Graveman has now failed to get out of the fifth inning in three of his last four starts, and if A's manager Bob Melvin doesn't trust him to get out of even minor jams it's fair to wonder why Graveman is in the rotation at all. His next start is scheduled for Friday at home against the Angels.

  • Matt Moore RP | BOS

Rays' Matt Moore: Strikes out 10 in Sunday's win

Moore (3-4) tossed seven scoreless innings in Sunday's win over the Astros, allowing just two singles to Jose Altuve while walking one and striking out 10.

The 10 K's tied his season high, while it was the first time in six starts that he hadn't allowed a home run. It was just Moore's fifth quality start on the year, as high pitch counts and sometimes shaky command have saddled him with a 5.05 ERA despite his talent. He'll look to build on his momentum Saturday when the Rays host the Giants.

  • JT Chargois RP | TEX

Twins' J.T. Chargois: Optioned to Triple-A

Chargois was optioned to Triple-A Rochester, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.

The Twins claimed reliever Neil Ramirez off waivers from the Brewers on Sunday, and needed a roster spot to make room for the new bullpen option. It will come at the expense of Chargois, who was just added to the Twins on Friday. He was shelled for five earned runs over 0.2 innings Saturday, so it's no surprise to see him packing his bags again this soon.

  • Chad Green RP | TOR

Yankees' Chad Green: Sent back to minors

Green was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

Green was recalled by the Yankees on Friday, and contributed a scoreless inning in Sunday's loss to Detroit. It sounds like he'll be heading back to the minors, however, freeing the Yankees up to potentially add another position player prior to the upcoming two-game series in Colorado. Multiple news outlets reported the team signing Ike Davis on Sunday, so it's certainly possible that this is the preceding move.

  • Matt Andriese RP | MIA

Rays' Matt Andriese: Headed to bullpen

Andriese will move to the bullpen, losing his rotation spot to 23-year-old Blake Snell, Steve Carney of 620 AM Tampa Bay reports.

Andriese has been a solid rotation option for the Rays this season, as he's accumulated a 5-0 record and allowed more than three earned runs in just one of his seven starts. He'll move to the bullpen for now, however, as the Rays need to make room for top prospect Blake Snell, who is scheduled to take the mound Thursday against Seattle. Andriese will serve in long relief for the time being, but could be called upon for a spot start at any point if the need arises.

  • Angels' Hector Santiago: Struggles continue Friday

Santiago was routed in his start against the Indians on Friday, allowing six runs (five earned) in 1.1 innings.

An increase in velocity and ground balls gave some owners high hopes for Santiago, but he has now lasted just 5.1 innings in his last two starts combined, and has been unable to pitch at least three frames in three of his last five outings. The rotation is in shambles at the moment, meaning Santiago is unlikely to lose his job, but he will need to show a lot more than this before he can be considered an add in standard leagues. Santiago will take a 5.64 ERA into his start against the Twins on Wednesday.

  • Athletics' Daniel Mengden: Looks strong but drops MLB debut versus Reds

Mengden (0-1) allowed two runs on six hits, struck out five and walked four over 5.2 innings in a 2-1 loss to the Reds on Saturday.

Making his MLB debut, Mengden worked around three of his four walks, but the one he didn't cost him the game. Mengden walked Joey Votto to lead off the third, and two batters later, Jay Bruce hit a two-run homer. Otherwise, the rookie had an all-around solid MLB debut, throwing 69 of his 104 pitches for strikes and inducing 12 swing-and-misses.

  • Alex Colome RP | CHW

Rays' Alex Colome: Notches 18th save in Friday victory

Colome secured his 18th save of the season in Friday's 4-3 victory over the Astros. He surrendered a hit and two walks over his one inning, while also fanning two batters.

The Rays closer certainly kept it interesting, as he issued a free pass to Tony Kemp and a one-out double to Marwin Gonzalez. An intentional walk of Jose Altuve then loaded the bases before Colome was able to retire Colby Rasmus and Evan Gattis with a strikeout and groundout, respectively. The outing brought the 27-year-old reliever's ERA down to a stellar 0.96, and he now has 17 consecutive scoreless efforts dating back to May 1.

  • Matt Andriese RP | MIA

Rays' Matt Andriese: Moves to perfect 5-0 with Friday victory

Andriese (5-0) surrendered eight hits, three earned runs and four walks over 5.1 innings in Friday's 4-3 victory over the Astros. He struck out five.

The young right-hander continued his impressive stretch since an early May promotion from Triple-A, throwing 64 of 101 pitches for strikes and securing first-pitch strikes on 19 of 26 hitters. The 26-year-old has only pitched 10.1 innings combined over his last two starts, but he's done just enough to still notch two victories. Control was the only real step backward for Andriese on Friday, as the four free passes he issued were a season high and marked the fourth time in seven starts that he'd walked multiple batters. He'll look to keep his perfect record intact versus the Mariners next Thursday.
