  • Michael Fulmer RP | NYY

Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Struggles in no-decision Sunday

Fulmer (2-1) lasted just 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the Orioles on Sunday, coughing up five runs (four earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out six.

He continues to rack up strikeouts, and Fulmer's 22:9 K:BB through his first 19.1 major league innings is pretty good, but his inability to last deep into games could make it difficult for the Tigers to keep him in the rotation going forward even if you look past his 6.52 ERA. He'll next take the mound Saturday at home against the Rays.

  • Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Picks up 10th save Sunday

Kimbrel struck out two while pitching a perfect ninth inning to notch his 10th save of the season in Sunday's 10-9 win over the Astros.

He just keeps rolling along, and Kimbrel now sports a 2.65 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 28:8 K:BB in 17 innings while converting 10 of 11 save chances. With Boston looking like a playoff contender once again, Kimbrel should get plenty of leads to protect going forward.

  • Chris Devenski RP | NYM

Astros' Chris Devenski: Chased early in Sunday's loss

Devenski (0-2) lasted just two innings Sunday, allowing six runs on five hits and two walks while striking out one, but was able to escape with a no-decision in a 10-9 loss to the Red Sox.

His ERA nearly doubled as a result of his first poor outing of the season, soaring from 1.72 to a still-respectable 3.24. Since joining the rotation, Devenski has a 5.03 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB in 19.2 innings, and with Lance McCullers now healthy, the 25-year-old rookie is probably on a very short leash. On the bright side, Mike Fiers wasn't much better in relief Sunday, so the fifth starter spot might still be up for grabs.

  • Matt Moore RP | BOS

Rays' Matt Moore: Another short outing Sunday

Moore (1-3) lasted five innings Sunday, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three, but came away with a no-decision in a 7-6 loss to the A's.

He was actually in line for the win thanks to Sonny Gray being even more generous than he was, but Danny Valencia crushed his third home run of the day in the top of the ninth inning to send Moore home empty-handed. Moore has now failed to pitch more than five innings in any of his last three starts, managing just an 11:8 K:BB in 14 innings over that stretch, and the efficiency issues that plagued Moore before his Tommy John surgery have predictably returned in 2016. He'll look for a better result in his next trip to the hill Saturday in Detroit.

  • Tyler Duffey RP | KC

Twins' Tyler Duffey: Picks up first win Sunday

Duffey (1-2) tossed seven scoreless innings Sunday, allowing six hits and a walk while striking out six, as the Twins downed the Indians, 5-1.

The 25-year-old lowered his ERA to a sparkling 1.85 after four starts, and Duffey's 23:5 K:BB in 24.1 innings indicates his success may not be a fluke. He'll go for his third straight quality start Friday at home against the Jays.

  • Collin McHugh RP | ATL

Astros' Collin McHugh: Scheduled for Thursday

McHugh's next start has been moved up to Thursday against the White Sox, the Houston Chronicle reports.

The Astros planned to temporarily use a six-man rotation, but Mike Fiers ended up throwing 60 pitches in a relief appearance Sunday. He'll now switch spots with McHugh, who was previously scheduled to face the Rangers on Saturday.

  • Yankees' Aroldis Chapman: Picks up third save Sunday

Chapman worked a scoreless ninth inning Sunday in a 7-5 win over the White Sox to pick up his third save of the season.

For the first time in four appearances as a Yankee, Chapman didn't strike anyone out, but expect outings like this to be the exception and not the norm for the flame-throwing Cuban. With their trio of dominant late-inning relievers now together and the offense showing signs of life, Chapman should be handed plenty of leads to protect going forward.

  • Yankees' Dellin Betances: Picks up first win Sunday

Betances gave up a run on three hits in the seventh inning Sunday, striking out two, but got credit for his first win of the season when the Yankees rallied for a 7-5 win over the White Sox.

He's been a little more hittable this year than in the past, but Betances' 34:3 K:BB in 17.1 innings is still among the best in baseball. Aroldis Chapman's return puts him further down in the pecking order for saves, but Betances should be able to add substantially to his eight holds on the season as part of the Yankees' dominant late-inning crew.

  • Angels' Hector Santiago: Eight shutout innings versus Seattle

Santiago was excellent during Sunday's win over Seattle, tossing eight scoreless innings with five strikeouts compared to just one walk.

The left-hander had gone three outings without tossing a quality start, so Sunday's performance was a positive sign and lowered his ERA back down to 3.42. He'll be leaned upon for the rest of the season to perform like a front-end pitcher for a poor rotation that's already lacking Garrett Richards (elbow), and outings like Sunday's will need to come more frequently. Santiago will next take the mound Friday versus Baltimore.

  • Jesse Chavez RP | ATL

Blue Jays' Jesse Chavez: Ejected Sunday

Chavez was ejected from Sunday's game after plunking Prince Fielder in the bottom of the eighth inning, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.

Chavez's actions came after a benches-clearing brawl in the top of the eighth inning that resulted in three other ejections. It's quite possible a minor suspension is on the horizon, but any supplemental discipline should be announced in the coming days.
