Finnegan picked up the save in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Marlins, allowing no runs on no hits while striking out three and walking none over one inning.

Finnegan was lights-out Saturday, tossing nine of 14 pitches for strikes to earn the save. Finnegan now has saves in back-to-back appearances after his prior five appearances resulted in a mix of losses, no-decisions and a hold. Finnegan has not allowed a run or a walk in his last three appearances and has allowed only one hit during that span. His season ERA now sits at 3.77.

Hudson (8-7) won the first game of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Reds. He allowed an unearned run on six hits and two walks while striking out five over eight innings.

Hudson's lone blemish came in the seventh inning, though it was his own error that ultimately led to the run. Beyond that one small hiccup, Hudson looked spectacular in his first major-league appearance since Aug. 30. The right-hander has struggled with consistency this year, and he now has a 4.16 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 77:58 K:BB across 134 innings through 25 starts. Hudson was up as the 29th man for Saturday's twin bill, so it's unclear if he'll stick in the big leagues or if he'll head back to Triple-A Mmephis after an impressive outing. If he does stay in the majors, it's uncertain if the Cardinals would keep him in a six-man rotation or use him as a multi-inning reliever.

Jansen struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Phillies.

Jansen was reportedly unavailable with a finger issue Friday, but he was deemed good-to-go ahead of Saturday's contest. A save chance arose, and he needed just nine pitches (seven strikes) to convert it. This was his first save opportunity since he blew a chance in Seattle last Sunday. Jansen now has a 3.76 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 72:19 K:BB through 55 innings while converting 34 of 41 save chances. Assuming the finger soreness doesn't resurface, he should remain Atlanta's primary closer the rest of the way.

Hjelle (0-2) took the loss during Saturday's 7-2 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk in one-plus innings. He failed to record a strikeout.

Hjelle followed opener John Brebbia and permitted two runs on three baserunners in the second inning before allowing six straight baserunners to open the third, prompting his removal. The 25-year-old's allowed multiple runs in three of his five appearances this season, and he possesses a 9.75 ERA along with a 2.17 WHIP in 12 innings.

Wilson (3-9) took the loss Saturday versus the Mets. He allowed four runs on four hits, two walks and two hit batters while striking out five over 5.1 innings.

Most of the damage came on a second-inning three-run home run by Eduardo Escobar. The Pirates' offense was unable to cover up that mistake, with Wilson taking his first loss in his last four outings. He's given up at least three runs in seven straight appearances, pushing his season ERA to 6.07 with a 1.48 WHIP and 67:26 K:BB through 99.1 innings across 22 appearances (18 starts). Wilson is expected to draw an easier matchup at home against the Cubs next week.

Hader saved Saturday's 2-0 win against the Diamondbacks, allowing one hit and striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Hader was brought in to face the top of Arizona's order and worked around a Jake McCarthy one-out single to lock down his 33rd save in 36 opportunities. The 28-year-old has recorded a save in four of his last six outings after failing to do so in seven straight appearances and possesses a 1.80 ERA across five September innings. Despite a high 5.84 ERA, Hader has suffered only two negative marks (one loss, one blown save) in 17 appearances since July 22.

Bard picked up the save in Saturday's 3-1 victory over the Cubs. He did not allow a run on one hit while striking out one over one inning.

Bard has not allowed an earned run over nine innings in his last eight outings and has surrendered just three hits during that span. The righty's 1.99 ERA over 54.1 innings this season is his best since he posted a 1.93 ERA over 74.2 innings in 2010.

Peters cleared waivers Saturday and was outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

He was designated for assignment earlier this week and went unclaimed. Peters has a 4.58 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 26:17 K:BB in 39.1 innings through 22 MLB appearances this year.

Almonte (elbow) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Almonte has been out with an elbow injury since early August. He should have time to make it back for at least a handful of appearances this season, though it's unclear exactly when the Dodgers expect him to return.

Graterol (elbow) will face hitters Monday and could be activated next week, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Graterol hit the injured list with right elbow inflammation at the start of September. He wasn't shut down from throwing for long, however, and while the Dodgers don't need to push anyone down the stretch, it look as though he'll return for roughly the final two weeks of the regular season.
