Suter was not included on Milwaukee's NLDS roster against Atlanta, JR Radcliffe of reports.

This move comes as a bit of a surprise, considering Suter appeared in 61 games this season and posted a 3.07 ERA as a key member of the bullpen. That said, he did suffer eight blown saves in 2021 and had a pedestrian 4.30 ERA in his last 14 appearances. As a soft-throwing lefty, Suter might have faced some difficult matchups against Atlanta's righty-heavy, power-hitting lineup.

Cousins (biceps) was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday and included on Milwaukee's NLDS roster, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

President of baseball operations David Stearns said earlier in the week that Cousins was expected to be available against Atlanta, and the right-hander is now officially on the roster. The 27-year-old should fill a high-leverage role for the Brewers after posting a 2.70 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 44:19 K:BB over 30 innings this season, especially with setup man Devin Williams (hand) sidelined.

Jansen was awarded the win in Wednesday's wild-card victory over the Cardinals after striking out three while allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Manager Dave Roberts turned to Jansen to keep the game tied at 1-1 in the top of the ninth, and the decision paid off. He worked around a one-out single by Tommy Edman, allowing Chris Taylor to win the game with a walkoff homer in the bottom of the inning. Jansen now owns a 2.35 ERA in 50 career playoff appearances. Notably, he's only recorded a save in 18 of those, so expect Roberts to continue using him in non-save situations as needed.

Manager Mike Shildt said Cabrera (finger) is ready for Wednesday's NL Wild Card Game against the Dodgers, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Cabrera exited Friday's contest with left middle finger discomfort and didn't pitch in the final two games of the season, but he's good to go for Wednesday's one-game playoff. The 24-year-old should continue to fill a high-leverage role out of the bullpen after recording 28 holds and posting a 3.73 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 77:36 K:BB over 70 innings this season.

Williams underwent successful surgery to repair his fractured right hand over the weekend, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Game 1 of the World Series is Oct. 26, so the right-hander has exactly three weeks to get healthy and build up his arm. He'll head to the spring training facility in Arizona to go through his rehab work.

Lamet allowed four runs on one hit and three walks while striking out one over one-third of an inning against the Giants on Sunday.

The right-hander entered in the fourth inning of a one-run game and quickly let the contest get out of hand, issuing walks to three of the first four batters in the frame to load the bases before surrendering a run-scoring single. Lamet was then replaced by Craig Stammen, who allowed all three inherited runners to cross the plate. The poor outing capped a disappointing campaign for Lamet, who was one of the NL's top pitchers last season but was hampered by a lingering forearm injury throughout 2021. He finished the campaign with a 4.40 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 57:22 K:BB across 47 innings, with 13 of his 22 appearances coming out of the bullpen.

Finnegan (5-9) took the loss Sunday versus Boston. He allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and struck out one in one-third of an inning.

Finnegan surrendered the go-ahead home run to Rafael Devers in the ninth inning, completing a meltdown by Washington's bullpen over the last 3.2 innings of the game. The right-hander was initially solid in the closer role, but he yielded 12 runs (10 earned) in his last 14 innings this year. He ended 2021 with a 3.55 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, 68:34 K:BB, 11 saves and 13 holds across 66 innings in 68 appearances.

Knehr (1-2) allowed two runs on three hits and two walks over three innings Sunday, striking out two and taking a loss against the Giants.

Knehr kept the Giants off the board for two innings to start the game before Buster Posey brought home two runs with a third-inning single. The 24-year-old rookie finished the 2021 season with a 4.97 ERA and a 20:20 K:BB through 29 innings. He went 0-2 with a 6.30 ERA over his last four outings. He'll have a shot at making the staff next season, though the starting rotation for the contending Padres seems likely to be staffed by more experienced arms.

Sanmartin (2-0) allowed one run on seven hits and a walk over six innings Sunday, striking out six and earning a win over the Pirates.

Sanmartin walked Anthony Alford with the bases loaded in the first inning but settled in for five scoreless innings after that. His first two career MLB starts came against the Pirates and he took full advantage, posting a 1.54 ERA with an 11:2 K:BB while going 2-0. The 6-foot-2 southpaw should begin the 2022 season with a spot in the starting rotation after a strong debut.
