Miller struck out three and allowed one hit over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Miller has posted back-to-back scoreless outings after a two-homer meltdown Tuesday in Toronto. The right-hander looks to be the last man standing in the closer competition for Arizona, as both Justin Martinez (elbow) and A.J. Puk (elbow) are out for the year. Saturday's game featured what could be an ideal bullpen progression for the Diamondbacks, with Ryan Thompson in the seventh inning and Jalen Beeks in the eighth before Miller closed it out. Miller has eight saves, eight holds and four blown saves while posting a 2.03 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 35:11 K:BB over 31 innings this season.

Ross gave up three runs on four hits and no walks in 2.2 innings of relief during Saturday's 11-4 defeat to the Mets. He struck out one.

Rooke right-hander Mick Abel was able to give the Phillies only three innings, so Ross was brought on to provide some length. Saturday was Ross' second-longest outing of the season, but he's limped to an 8.00 ERA and 6:6 K:BB across nine innings in the month of June. The 32-year-old right-hander has made just one start this year and has no holds or saves, so his pathway to fantasy relevance remains cloudy as a multi-inning middle reliever.

Doval earned the save in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Red Sox, allowing two runs on three hits in the ninth inning without recording a walk or a strikeout.

Doval entered the ninth with a three-run lead and gave up three straight hits before settling down to retire the next three batters and secure the win. While the 27-year-old has converted six of seven save chances in June, he's also allowed five earned runs across 10 appearances. On the season, he's 12-for-15 in save opportunities with a 2.06 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 33:15 K:BB over 35 innings.

Garcia (adductor) will begin his rehab assignment with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Garcia landed on the 15-day injured list in early June due to a right adductor strain, but he's made enough progress with his throwing program to resume pitching in games. The right-hander posted a 4.50 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 23:15 K:BB across 26 innings with the Dodgers prior to landing on the shelf.

The Padres optioned Reynolds to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.

The move makes room on the 26-man roster for Bryan Hoeing (shoulder), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list. Reynolds posted a 4.15 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 19:8 K:BB across 21.2 innings with the Padres, though he did not give up a run in nine of his last 10 outings. He should get another call to the majors this season if/when the Padres need some bullpen depth.

The Padres reinstated Hoeing (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Hoeing is available to make his 2025 debut against the Royals on Saturday after recovering from the right shoulder strain that he suffered in February. He did not yield a run over his last three rehab outings with Triple-A El Paso, and it was enough for him to be given the green light to return to the Padres' bullpen. Hoeing was acquired by the Padres from the Marlins in July of 2024, and across 18 regular-season games with San Diego, he posted a 1.52 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB across 23.2 innings.

Kranick (elbow) was diagnosed Saturday with a right flexor strain following an MRI and won't throw for the next 3-to-4 weeks, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Kranick was placed on the injured list Thursday, but the extent of his injury wasn't known until the results of his MRI are read. Given that he'll be shut down from throwing for the next three weeks, Kranick is safe to rule out through the All-Star break.

The Mets recalled Zuber from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Zuber has been in the minors all season, putting up a 6.08 ERA and 1.64 WHIP through 23.2 innings. Despite his poor minor-league performance, the Mets will rely on him to make up for the departures of Blade Tidwell and Justin Garza, both of whom were optioned to Syracuse on Saturday.

The Mets recalled Devenski from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Devenski has given up two earned runs in three big-league innings this season, but he'll be called upon to help make up for the departures of Blade Tidwell and Justin Garza to Syracuse. Devenski will likely be limited to low-leverage situations while with the big club.

The Mets optioned Garza to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Garza will be shipped back upstate after giving up four earned runs in two innings during his outing Friday. He'll be joined on the trip to Syracuse by Blade Tidwell, while Chris Devenski and Tyler Zuber are coming up to fill the open spots on New York's roster.
