Palencia (0-2) allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk across an inning of work to take the loss Monday against the Phillies.

Palencia was tasked with working the bottom of the 10th inning in a 2-2 game, and outside of an intentional walk to Kyle Schwarber, he was able to get through the frame fairly quickly. The 11th was a different story, however, as the righty allowed four straight hits to take his second loss of the year. Palencia isn't often asked to work more than one inning, as he's retired four or more batters just four times in 21 appearances. Despite the hiccup, the 25-year-old has been solid with a 1.96 ERA, and he should remain Chicago's top closing option for the time being, though Porter Hodge (oblique/hip) could join the mix at some point when he's healthy. Opening Day closer Ryan Pressly is also pitching better after a rough start, so Palencia will need to pitch well to keep his grip on the role.

Miley (1-0) collected the win Monday against the Guardians after giving up three runs on five hits and four walks in five innings. He struck out two.

Miley was inefficient in his first start of the year, tossing just 42 of his 78 pitches for strikes, and he also generated a mere three whiffs. The 38-year-old journeyman left-hander now has a 9.00 ERA, 2.14 WHIP and 2:4 K:BB covering seven innings, but he figures to remain in Cincinnati's rotation until Hunter Greene (groin) returns from the injured list. Even so, Miley should be avoided as a fantasy streamer in most situations in his next scheduled outing against the first-place Tigers, who own an .804 OPS versus southpaws since May 1.

Go (finger) allowed one hit and struck out one across a scoreless inning for Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.

Go began the 2025 season on the 7-day injured list due to a fractured right index finger, and he's since been cleared to return to Triple-A after wrapping up a rehab assignment. He's fired a pair of scoreless frames since being activated from the IL, striking out two batters in the process.

Puk (elbow) has been cleared to throw out to 120 feet, Arizona Sports reports.

Puk, who was placed on the 15-day injured list April 19 due to left elbow inflammation and was shifted to the 60-day IL on May 1, continues to make steady progress in his throwing program. The team still hasn't provided a firm timetable for the southpaw's return, though he's eligible to be activated July 1.

Mena has been diagnosed with a teres major strain in his right shoulder and is expected to be out for multiple weeks, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

Mena felt discomfort in his right shoulder while warming up in the bullpen before his outing against the Reds on Friday, when he yielded one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter in one inning. Mena was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday, and a clearer timeline for his return will be known once he's been given the green light to start a throwing program.

The Diamondbacks placed Graveman on the 15-day injured list Monday, retroactive to June 8, due to a right hip impingement.

Graveman's hip injury may have played a part in his disastrous outing in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Reds, when he allowed six runs on five hits and one walks in one inning. It's the second time he'll be on the IL, with a back injury preventing him from making his season debut until May 13. Christian Montes De Oca was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Montes De Oca served as the Diamondbacks' 27th for Saturday's twin bill against the Reds. He was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday, but he's back with the big club after Kendall Graveman (hip) was placed on the 15-day injured list. Montes De Oca made his major-league debut in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, allowing no hits and one walk while striking out two across 2.2 scoreless innings.

The Phillies optioned Robert to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday.

The 30-year-old right-hander didn't make an appearance following his weekend promotion and will head back to Triple-A after Zack Wheeler was reinstated from the paternity list. In two games with the Phillies this season, Robert has a 13.50 ERA and 2:3 K:BB across 0.2 innings of action.

The Cardinals optioned Svanson to Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

Svanson was roughed up in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers, throwing 52 pitches across two innings of work out of the bullpen. He was tagged for one hit, three walks, two hit batsmen and two earned runs. The Cardinals needed some fresh arms and recalled both Riley O'Brien and Chris Roycroft ahead of Monday's series opener against the Blue Jays.

Roycroft was sent down to Triple-A on May 23 and hasn't fared much better against lesser competition. Despite his 8.49 ERA and 1.97 WHIP at Triple-A, Roycroft is back with St. Louis. In 12 appearances out of the Cardinals' bullpen this season, Roycroft (1-3) has a 7.20 ERA and 6:8 K:BB across 10 innings of work.
